The ideal situation for me would be Carney doesn't play for the rest of the season and it gets resolved in the off season and start afresh next year. Can't see that happening though and I'd reckon he may be sold on. Shame if that does happen as he's a match winner and a good player on his day.

How long has he got left on his contract? If the rumour mill is correct I can't see how you can keep him, the alleged wronged party and a settled dressing room. Hope it all turns out to be smoke without fire.

He signed a 5 year deal last year with us.

I cannot help but think the same. Team spirit would be destroyed if Carney stayed (as well as the two families involved already).

Time to cash in on him if rumours are true. Some of the big clubs will splash the cash for him and we do need to strengthen in certain parts of the squad. No panic about a winger either as milner looks just the job LOL.

People are quoting Terry and Bridge over this incident but is the situation at Warrington a few years back also worth mentioning? They managed to keep both players in question and seemingly restore something of a team spirit.

I think it's only fair that the Warrington pair be named to stop speculation, I heard Ben Harrison and Richie Myler were the two involved, but who was sleeping with who's partner I don't know. In any case is the Warrington rumour true?

Not for me to Mod this board BUT not sure a personal issue should have peoples names especially the injured party in public.

I thought it was rubbish when it all first aired back in December 2011.. Harrison and Myler were room mates so it was a plausible story.

but to be Fair Myler was already with Helen skelton and the rumour was Myler was the naughty boy. which never made sense to me as Harrison is twice mylers size and would no doubt hurt him very hard. however that said Ben's missus is a tidy piece.....so again very plausible....

there were rumours very quickly that Myler was sacked because of it and also of a general Camp in turmoil and fighting players rumours etc etc.... but he played soon after the rumours surfaced in a pre season box day friendly and then also signed a contract extension........

so it was most likely utter rubbish
