| From the 19 my squad would be:
Luke Dorn
Kirk Dixon
Jake Webster
Michael Shenton
Justin Carney
Liam Finn or Jamie Ellis
Marc Sneyd
Craig Huby
Daryl Clark
Andy Lynch
Oliver Holmes
Weller Hauraki
Grant Millington
Jordan Tansey (deserves his place)
Lee Jewitt
Scott Wheeldon
Frankie Mariano
Adam Milner is a good player but I think having Dorn in the squad can cover at halfback. Tansey cover all of back positions and Jamie Ellis over Finn for me to cover hooker. Don't think Finn will be left out though but that would be my team. Tansey was good last week and his support play was great. Definitely deserves a game but so does Dorn as he can be a game changer.
Cas 42-22 Widnes

| 19 man squad looks very strong. Having Dorn in the side (if he's fit) will be a huge boost - it means we have 3 or 4 available players on the field who have a decent kicking game. Very hard to defend when you have that much variability. I think we've missed that a little bit.
I don't think it will be that big of a gap though - I think it'll be a lot closer than a lot of people think. Could go either way but I think we'll pip it by a few points.

think you will run away with it lot of kids in our squad we will give it a good go for 60min but then we will crumble it all depends on the weather a bi damp and we might keep it close but it is good that we can talk about cas and widnes in a top 8 battle and not a relegation dog fight see you on sunday

A good first choice players missing for Widnes and i think a good Castleford win looking at their squad. Why we always seem to get injured players.

I find it quite amusing Widnes fans blaming the referee despite having more penalties (IMO - if I'm wrong on this front, I'm wrong, though certainly felt like it) and getting quite a few decisions. And before you argue that we got some lucky breaks:
1) You were offside several times in the first half and got away with it.
2) You also got head and feed when Carney went to catch ball and as he was about to clamp it, Widnes player came in and knocked it into touch. Should have been our ball.
Now you're going to refer to the fight, which despite all you will claim, was started by Flynn having his hands in at the ruck still (penalty offence) and when Carney shoved his arm off him, shoved him back (penalty offence). Then Carney retaliated and Flynn threw first punch (even more of a penalty offence). It was directly in front of me so I saw everything.
I will also refer you to the blatant holding down and forward passes ignored too.
I'm not saying we didn't get favourable decisions either, though I'm not sure about the arguments for the Webster try as it was opposite side of field to me (was in main stand in first half).
One thing you have to learn about Thaler is that he likes to let the game flow and let's things go for both sides, only penalising where it's absolutely blatant. He did that in the first half and I thought he had a reasonable game. Thought he also dealt with the fight adequately with both deserving of a sin-binning.
Our penalties came from an obstruction incident in first half (running around back of your own man), a high tackle from Isa, and obviously the fight. May have been one more.

Who really cares at the end of the day you won and was the best team. I was proud of Widnes with so many players missing against a strong Castleford side. Even top sides struggle at your stadium and I look forward to the next game. Well done by the way.
Got to admit do not like Thaler as a ref though.

| Thaler is one massive Bell, he didn't however cost us the game today, Cas played smart when they needed to and won the game but he's made some awful calls for us recently when we've been in tight games. We had 11 missing today and 8 would go straight into the team so I'm pretty pleased with our performance with some young lads in.
Cant argue with the start you guys have had, consistent every week and you rarely fall, see you at our place soon.

Impressed with Widnes today, one of the sharpest attacking sides I've seen this year, the brawl seemed to work in our favour, we upped our game after that and the quick tries took us out of reach.

Agree with this.
Think we were basking in the glory of last weeks performance in the 1st half, and a good talking to by the coach at half time and the response to the punch up won it.
Widnes look very impressive though and wouldn't have complained had we have lost.
Another point that was raised on the other forum, yes the attendance was poor but I think there is some factors to this....
1) The Weather. It has been unpredictable this weekend. Having got drenched on Saturday I can understand why families with youngsters would be reluctant to turn out.
2) Bank Holidays / School Holidays. Some will have gone away on holiday, very difficult for parents to take their children out of school in term time.
3) Cost. Times are still hard...some people may be picking and choosing games, we have 2 home games on the bounce so chose the Hull K.R game over yesterdays game?. I would prefer the old home one weekend / away the next , but this is the problem I guess when you have sides that share stadia in S.L.
