| conflicting emotions after last nights game. firstly huge disappointment but when the dust had settled a fair amount of pride. Sure it would have been great to see the game out and be top of the tree but hang on we lost to an unbeaten saints side by 2 points in the last couple of minutes. the major disappointment was that we held good leads deservedly so in a near perfect 40 mins but just couldn't see it through. Possibly we saw why saints are the favs for the title so lets give them some credit. Now to the progress, this time last year we would have lost by 40 or so, yesterday we lost by 2. The improvement under this regime is immense to the point we get upset when we lose.Imagine if this progress continues where we could be in 12 months time. The challange now is wakefield, lifting the spirits and beliefs to bounce back. I am confident the backroom staff can lift the players as indeed can the supporters and hopefully we will a similar performance with a different result. The squad put in a tremendous effort last night , one which we should be proud of and if in doubt think back to last year and see the progress being made.

| The tigers are certainly one of the most exciting teams to watch this season so far. Definitely the most exciting team in Yorkshire in my opinion. Keep it up guys.

| The difference between the Tigers of 2013 and this years team is we would not have been able to live with Saints for 40 minutes for let alone 78 minutes. A vast improvment IMO. Lets keep it up and take our fustration out on Wakey.

| Good performance from the lads - you live and learn, eh? Well done to Saints but it's a bitter pill to swallow... luck never seems to be on our side.

| This year the emphasis is on the word "TEAM". Last year it was a question of give the ball to Rangi and see what happened. This year, players are backing each other up, and the commitment is there for all to see. There doesn't appear to be any bad eggs in the camp and the football is a joy to watch.
The first 40 minutes last night were the best I have seen since the 1999 season. Just so proud of the lads and the feel good factor is definitely back!

| You guys are going really well! Enjoy the fact more teams have stepped up this year! But the jump you guys have made is stand out!! Passionate fans and a team which is aggressive, quick and lows to throw it about! Happy for you! The more competitive this league gets the better for fans and rl and you have certainly added to the entertainment this year

Well its possible...form goes out of the window in derby games and the loss on Friday could have taken its toll on them both mentally and physically.
However a Wakey win will ask more of its players than ours...are their players picking & choosing which games to put the effort in?, it would prove the problems on the field wouldn't be down to the coach alone.
Not long to find out...got my fingers crossed its not Child who's the ref

| I really think there will be a backlash on Friday.
The boys will want to get back on track and I can see us taking the saints defeat out on wakefield.
They will be chomping at the bit to get back on the field to put the wrongs right after Friday.

Possible but unlikely....think Cas will win by 30 unfortunately. Trinity are in disarray.

| What a great side to watch Cas are this year , hope you keep it up and have a great season - always been my "second team" to the extent that such a thing can ever exist!
One thing bugging me about Friday though is the crowd - I haven't kept much of an eye on your attendances this year but surely that was a hugely disappointing turnout for a top of the table match?

It was disappointing but not a surprise for me.
Friday night games are much more difficult for fans that live further (we have fans in London, Wales, North East) etc and equally just as difficult for families with young kids.
For me, Friday night games are always going to knock 1k off plus we have a lot of casual fans that don't turn out when the game is on Sky, preferring to sit at home or in the pub.
Similarly, Hull brought probably 3k to the game a few weeks back and the Wigan crowd was boosted with probably double the fans Saints brought (only about 1k).
Also, we've had a fair few neutrals come down this season too and with everyone playing on a Friday night virtually, a lot of fans from Wakey, Leeds may have gone to their respective game.

The Princess St was virtually empty and holds the most people (4.5k). You could probably fit everyone in there into one half of the stand.
The Saints end was also misleading. They brought a few but they were mainly spread out amongst the barriers with huge gaps in between and to the sides.

| I was sat in the main stand and where my girlfriend stands in the Princess St was virtually empty.
The view from the ground is misleading - in the first half Cas fans moved around from WRE to Railway End making it look fuller then all moved back round at half-time.
Additionally, people stand at the barriers which makes it look fuller than actually is because you cant see the gaps in between. I'd be very surprised if Saints brought more than 1k.
The club have nothing to gain by lying by saying there is less than actually is.
