Sadly, I'll be watching from TV as busy all Friday.

Just seen the prices on their website - £25 if you decide to go on the day for an adult. Have they suddenly signed Billy Slater or something, that's the only way I would pay £25 to get in at HKR. They are the Arsenal of the RL world!

So don't pay on the day. Get your tickets in advance and pay £23.For seating tickets at your ground it's £22. Rovers are charging an extra £1 and your sat in a brand new stand.

This board is the least qualified to criticise other stadia. Well done, KR, I hope the new stand pays off for you.

And let's not compare the toilet facilities. I'm still in therapy after my last trip to the Jungle.

While the facilities aren't great quite a few fans from Humberside enjoy their visits to Cas.

It's the first away fixture I look out for. Love the atmosphere the ground gives and love been so close to the pitch that you hear the calls and even the collisions.

I prefer the away games at Cas and Wakefield.
Hate the DW and John smith stadiums.

Cas is my fave away ground by far great to be close to the action try never to miss it, hopefully be a cracker at our place, with our back line that looks pretty weak in defence now prob having a loan player slotting in after a training session or 2 could be a car crash out wide safe trip any of you that are making the trip

Are fans really complaining about the price? It's £23 if you book in advance, most tickets are early 20s for away games. If you add in transport, refreshments etc does £1 extra to come here really put you off?

^ it doesn't put me off mate, I can't make the game anyway.

I personally think basic ticket prices should be set by the league accross the board. £25 to me is milking another few quid off fans which, although it's only about £2 dearer which is nothing, the principal of it just leaves a bit of a sour taste.

our tickets in advance are £19 so it's the whole "well why am I paying £4 extra for the same thing"

i wasn't aiming it at you just in general when fans (I do it myself) complain at prices, Huddersfield last week it was the same £21 in advance and £24 on the day. I guess the reason they justify it is they have to pay someone to be on the turnstyle.
They should have a £20 limit for away fans across the board.
I do think KRs pricing should be a little different for the north stand and try and encourage more people to come especially for the first season but they will see it as its the best stand at the ground and therefore have to put it at the premium end of the spectrum

I like the new stand, think it looks really good, and I would agree that should be the premium stand to be in.

as I say, I think it will deter some people cause there's travel etc to consider. I don't see the need to nudge a quid on every year, it's not an outrageous increase but it's cheeky and I don't like the principal of it

Where best to park ?

there's a lng main road down to the stadium where I normally park Alf, or in the university car park - 10 minute walk

I think Powell is going to prove to be a very astute appointment. He's had plenty of time in the Championship to develop as a coach and now you're reaping the rewards. I understand he's a Cas lad so all the better for you.

You are right - DP is a Cas lad. Started at Lock Lane before moving on to Sheffield Eagles in their debut season back in '89 I believe.
