Is that really why Ferres left? Would seem odd that Fulton wouldn't say as much, it would certainly make fans more charitable to the BoD if that was given as the reason why.

Was only a matter of time once Ferres went. Would not be surprised to see him at Wakey. I was told by someone who knows James Elston that he was after a job there before xmas. (not sure how true it is but i have no reason not to believe the person who told me)

Definately Wakey bound - TRB says so. If the rumours abour Ferres joining Salford are true it makes you wonder if its simply a case of who pays more ?

He also said that Newmarket would NOT be called into a public inquiry too though.

And I could just as easily be wrong on both matters!

I wonder what the pay is. I might apply. After all, the only qualifications you need to do a job for Cas is not to have any qualifications for that job.

Well he should have been the cheap option last time, no experience at all and first time doing a job that important.

With it being Cas you would be lucky to see anything over £35k for doing the second most important off the pitch job at a sports club.

I'd accept £30k, do it for 6 months and then hot foot it to Salford

Only a matter of time Fozz would follow Ferres out of the door...its a real shame.

Who in their right mind (who is driven and ambitious to succeed in their job) would want to work with those dinosaurs on our board?

Sure Jack's money has helped us keep a float (just), but thanks to him & R.W, the layout of the club at boardroom level,shares etc, we won't attract any new investors in the near future

It makes me wonder if we are stream-lining our wage bill because we know we won't be figuring in a reduced SL after 2014. Do the BOD already know this ? Look at the London franchise and it looks like they have already given up the fight. Do they also know their fate is sealed ?

This is exactly what has happened. JF is owed 2million, RW is owed 90k. Steve Ferres and Foz found a potential sponsor to the tune of 750k.SF explained to the board the sponsor would only part with the cash if it is to be used on developing the ground, signing players etc. They wouldn't part with the cash if the two directors were simply going to take the cash out. SF explained they could take the money out in time when the club was in a better place to do so. JF and RW weren't happy to do this. The rest we know. Don't ask me to name my source as I can't. But I can assure you this is correct. I don't blame either of them for leaving.
