Unfortunately for you,having permission to build on land,with many provisos is one thing,having the money to do it is another,and dont give me all that rubbish that you have the finance in place,because you haven't,you're in EXACTLY the same position as us,only we haven't been in administration and reneged on a boat load of debt to smaller companies who could ill afford to lose out.

Forget the Administration, that ones gone it was in the last franchise period. In 2014 will be judged on our achievements in 2012 onwards. I felt, at the time we were very lucky to receive another 3 years. Considering what was going on behind the scenes with the Bulls and the clear double standards I think it’s only fair.
Regarding funding its looks like York Court has a clear business plan that relies on selling and building the warehouses in conjunction with the stadium construction. I believe it will take longer than most think but it will happen. The situation is nothing like the one at Cas, you have an asset that is valued considerably less than what it costs to build a new ground. This is before we’ve even taken the director loans off for the Fulton family and added the £2m loan from the council (which you’re not in a position to apply for at the moment). I’m also lead to believe that you will need to pay something up front for the lease of the land at Glasshoughton which you obviously don’t own. You’re trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, good luck with that one.

Waystone know that benefits will come from having the stadium up there. A bigger attraction.

On that reasoning we can say that Waystones will give land a away to anyone for nothing that brings in extra potential customers. Lets run the sums…
So an on an average of 8k crowds x 13 games a year equals 104K extra visitors a year. The vast majority of whom will live a short drive away from xscape and will be regular visitors anyway, except for calling for a couple pints in Winterseam will not spend any more than normal at xscape. You would also have to factor in the business you will drive away, people will be put of with the extra traffic, no one wants to spend Sunday afternoons stuck in traffic. It doesn’t sound like ideal business practice to me, at least from Waystones point of view. A 20 acre plot is an hell of a lot of land to give away for nothing. The sums just don’t add up. Nobody gives you nothing for free, not in the business world. From what I hear you’ll be paying a rent on some long term lease, a bit like our situation at BV. You’ll everything above the ground but pay rent on the ground you stand.
