I dont think it will disrupt Leeds but it has certainly been a distraction for them IMO.

For what its worth I think that the Cas and Leeds camp have known all along that Rangi would play, as the basis of the nosey parker article was a post on a forum where a leeds fan said to a cas fan he heard Rangi had to go back to oz and wouldn't play the next day nosey parker printed it.

Nosey parker bases his articles on internet forum gossip and just maybe the players have got a bit sick of him spreading rumor and gossip and decided to play along and say nothing even hauraki playing along. Gareth Ellis' father was in the paper about a year before ellis left for oz going mad that nosey parker was spreading gossip and rumor about gareth once he had said this nosey parker left gareth alone.

If this whole rangi story turns out to be nothing caused by a lazy journalist maybe Cas and Rangi should threaten some sort of action for defamation of character etc against mr parker.

To be fair though its not a bad ploy by Cas to keep peddaling the rumour and to be honest I would imagine most clubs would do the same

dave nosey parker may be a gossip mongerer but you cannot go around publishing what ever you please without any basis to the story, hence various libel actions over many years with tabloid news papers.

His story in the sun today claims Nick Fozzard has been interviewed by the sun not a happy bunny cos he was going to sign for quins and they have decided to sign mark bryant instead, well Nick Certainly isn't happy and he has stated on his twitter that he has not been interview by nosey parker or the sun nor has he spoke to quins.

At some point Nosey Parker needs to be hauled over the coals either by the people he writes gossip about or by his editors for never actually getting a story right

Between online forums and players' twitter feeds its nigh on impossible for newspapers to post rumours that haven't already been made public knowledge elsewhere. All Parker is doing is providing a means of access to such rumour for the ever decreasing number of fans that aren't up to speed with the internet and modern technology...
