| BBC's George Riley has linked Higgins to Wakefield. Not heard that one before.

| Best of luck to all of them, sad to see Wainwright go but it's good to see the club taking the initiative and clearing out players who aren't up to the standard (even if mad mick did give 110% every game)...Sadly Bambi won't be next :/

| Good luck to all 3. All played a part in getting us promoted in 2007 and all gave there best whilst wearing the Cas shirt. Unfortunately we do need better if we are to progress. Hoping we see Walker given more game time now Sarge and Higgins have gone.

| Thanks to all three guys, they have all done a job for us and we must remember that without them, we may not be sitting in Superleague right now.
They are all what I would call workhorses who got on with their job without fuss and without being spectacular, but all teams need their share of grafters, as we all know a team full of prima donna's doesn't function, the prima donna's get the glory on the back of players such as Michael, Liam and Ryan.
Thanks Michael, Liam and Ryan for all your efforts and good luck in wherever you find yourselves next season.

I know its become fashonable to blame mcgoldrick for all our problems (just as it was with sherwin) but i feel he cops alot of unjustified flack. He does make errors but these have become more in frequant and he is a big attacking threat.
I wonder if mathers and youngquest, two players who have a habit of making errors and costing tries will cop as much flack?

We'll have to wait and see but it's not so much a matter of being "fashionable" in my dislike of Goldy, granted the guy is a decent attacking threat but I feel as though he becomes a liability when he tries his fancy "miss 5 men" passes, they simply don't work and his defence is questionable at the best of times IMO (although to be fair he isn't the only one on the squad). However, it's more for me his moments of inexplicable brain melting when situations occur such as the dropped ball at Saints (I've seen amateur sides react quicker to a loose ball than he did) and even though these moments are gradually becoming fewer and further apart he is still an overpaid, over rated liability...

| Winky is a loss, would make a decent squad player but he is a bit dodgey under attacking kicks. Higgins was nothing special,Clayton, for me wont be missed.

| Thank god Clayton has gone
Although, if last year (might have been the year before) is anything to go by, we might sign him back as there is "nobody else to sign"

| Sad to see all three go, particularly Snowie. All three have put in 100% and I sincerely wish them all the best in the future.

Well said. I don't see why he gets so much stick either. He is involved in a lot of tries, and we have far worse players on the team.

| goldy gets stick because he is a very talented player but, he is a beer monster , has a poor attitude and tries when he feels like it. He can tackle but he doesnt really want to so he doesnt bother....... why would you when you can still get 100k a year and do what ever you want (on or off the field) managed properly he would be superleagues best back .

I agree with this bit...but to say that under proper management he would be superleagues best back is a massive stretch, the talents there to be a good player, and it shows (at times), but he doesn't possess the talent to be amazing IMO.
