They should be cautious with what they say here. Couldn't this be used in court if one of the SL clubs gets kicked out? That the franchise decision was decided and released to certain clubs? Or is this just a case of Widnes being arrogant and counting their chickens before they've hatched?

Why on earth would this be used in court? You know someone is coming up. You know someone is going down. The first part is irrelevant to anyone ensuring they are not the team mentioned in the second. Widnes are not your competitors. It is absolutely right that someone automatically comes up in 2012, it is vital to the already dwindling health of the championship. Whether its us, Leigh or Fax is irrelevant though. Your competitors are wakefield and salford.
