Strikes me as an excellent appointment, especially given his recent involvement with England at a similar age group.

The last truely thinking 'ball playing' forward that this country has produced. The skills he had should make him a great influence for the youth team.
(On the field obviously, off the field I think its fair to say Sir Les came from a slightly differant era!

he`s been helping paul couch with the u11s at lock lane since christmas "who are a very strong team" .just another coach, player or official from lock lane to get a job role down at the tigers



on a more serious note im always sceptical of such appointments of ex players has they seem to come and go in no time at all,im sure lee has good knowledge of the youngsters coming through at cas has his lad is of a simular age and will have cast an eye over many of the players on our books ive certainly seen him watching a few u16 games last year at ametuer level in the last 12 months when he was working for hull fc on the same basis.

He's coaching the U15s, not playing for them.

He's a poor coach which is why both Rovers and Hull bombed him out
