Seems we're not exactly nice in how we treat our players. No wonder not many want to come to a club like ours.

I wanted to keep this seperate from the Catalans thread as this is more aimed towards Shifty than Catalans.
He clearly (in his own words) wasn't doing his job at Cas and that's why we let him go, but we do ourselves no favours in treating players like that. Word will get round how they are treated and players (especially good ones) will not want to be treated like dirt.

In a way I kind of hope he proves some people wrong tonight, however I also would like us to rack up a good win. Someone keep us updated on how he does?

after reading that i can see why he was putting in the effort tonight, if a player were to say that had happened at any other club i wouldnt believe it but seeing as its cas i dare say its all true as to how he was given the news. i think they did the right thing in getting rid of him but i have heard rumours we are still toping up his wage that he gets in france, but thats only a rumour (but we are talking about cas here).

Looks much fitter than when he was at cas.

If he had performed there wouldnt have been a problem, but his boasting about his wages and his lack of commitment ended up with him being off - hired. I hope that this message goes to all players new and old that we will no longer tollerate free loaders.

Listening on the radio they were saying he was nothing special and hadn't done much other than the set up for the try.

When he came to Cas i could see the bloke had class and a brilliant rugby brain. Sadly his body is shot and he has no heart for Cas hence him going through the motions and taking the p1ss out of the club and the fans and his team mates.
Shown the door for good reason and a season too late for me.

Not a nice way for him to be told he's not wanted.

What would be a nice way to be told you are not wanted, maybe in the style of a west end musical - finished with Richard Wright doing the whole jazzy hands thing?

I thought some of our fans booing him was a bit harsh to be honest, he didn't deserve that.

No he did not deserve booing, no one remembers all the good things he did, I.E beginning of season when he took LEEDS to bits.

He didn't deserve that. When I was stood at the railwayend, someone shouted something at him and he just held his hands up. Like he was aying what was I supposed to do? He was right.
