Feel sorry for the guy, when him and hudson have both played he's looked the better of the two.

Good signing for us, Mark Smith and Thomas Coyle are both out for the next couple of months so he should go well.

I hope he plays really well for us just like Thackeray.We have had alot of injuries this year,and still not far from the top. As you know the season is not won on the first 6 months.

Did Netherton play against Barrow at all? Be great if he can play Wigan in the cup next week.

I really cant understand this move. When Hudson went off on sunday and Chase moved to hooker we looked abit lost at times. For me this is a bad move and got to feel sorry for Netherton.
Cant see him being at Cas next year.

I cant believe that TM said that he wouldnt get much game time in May, the reason why Netherton as been put out on loan, he obviously doesnt like him.

As there are only 3 1st team matches over the 5 weekends in May, andthe team that played SCR came through unscathed, TM obviously feels that he won't need Kirk as cover and that he needs to be playing at a higher level than U20

We must now be one of the very few teams in SL that doesnt have an interchange hooker on the bench, and why not, we have Kirk Netherton. TM must think that Netherton is not good enough, which if that is the case why on earth didnt TM bring in a better hooker. I think in this day and age it is advantageous to have a straight interchange at hooker.

Jones is playing Hooker this season with raz due to the amount of SR players we have in the squad and add to that Tuson

Personally I cant see the problem with loaning him out, Terry doesnt rate him, and to be honest I agree with him, I dont think he's good enough.

What exactly is it that makes him a good hooker, he doesnt get through a lot of defensive work, in fact you would have to say his tackiling is fairly weak. He doesnt run much from dummy half, and when he does he has little or no pace. He's not much of an organiser around the ruck or a team leader.

By my reckoning a below average SL hooker. Why we have kept him on for another season when most of this seemed apparent last year, who knows? If I had to guess I'd say its because he was cheap!

Kirk offers more speed around the ruck than Raz, however Raz has the better rugby brain of the two. Mould Raz's rugby brain in to Kirk and we would have a very good player with a good (albeit slower) back up

never really rated Netherton quite indicative of recent 'so so' signings really but none the less it does leave us with limited options in yet another key position.Would have liked to see us add another rake really, Hudsons not good enough IMO but he's the best we got.

Since we have two free weekends next month, and we are likely to get another couple of second rowers back soon, with jones moving to hooker its not as bizarre as it first sounds.
