I'm sure he won't be that good every game but a decent start - have to ask - what were the reasons you let him go. I know it's not as easy as some think to keep players just wondering, mainly because he's so big for his age and that's a rare commodity these days.

proven coach`s been aloud to leave the club to be replaced by inept coach`s or in some cases not at all.

academy players becoming disallusioned with the club and not progressing has they should be.

its also rumoured to be said that unless you have an antipodean accent you cant be a pivitol player in the cas first team.

all very worrying and even more worrying is who is going to replace the likes of sherwin,mcgoldrick,sargant when they leave,we should be striving to promote youngsters who wernt far behind the best in the academy last year.

Very much a two way street I'd say, plenty of Castleford stalwarts started their careers at BV only to be cherry picked by a better Cas club at the time. Hudson and Jackson both the first time around are example of this.

Think that both Hudson and Jackson started their careers at Huddersfield? Jacko came from Stannigley and Hudson from Stanley Rangers, used to watch em both weekly before they were asked for talks at the Giants!!!!

Had a few others down at the time for talks who were playing amateur but we couldn't afford them at the time, namely Gilmour, Westwood brothers, Bridge, Atkins, JJB, Bailey and Chev Walker to name but a few.

Glad Bens got the chance and i hope for many years to come Wakey/Cas/Fev continue to find young players and develope them.

I suspect we would all like to see more local home grown players in our squads.

When big wage earners are on the payroll politically clubs cannot afford to sideline them or drop them to reserve grade. Then shareholders will be wanting answers. I am sure it is easier to explain bad reults and bad form of the team than it is spending money on playing staff on high wages that are demoted to the reserves.

I've not see many RL attackers react over a hard legal tackle before but Gledhill absolutely smashed a Salford player and just held off the two players taking exception. Total powerhouse.

Another good performance at Wire on Friday. In the top 3 Wakey performers. Cas really must be kicking themselves. TM needs to show more faith in his youth.
