| Was going to post this myself, looked a decent prop when i've seen him, and is likely to get better with experiance. We are short of props so i think it would be a good buy.

| I'm afraid we've become a club associated with mediocre forwards. I'm not knocking any of their efforts but the following are all lower SL standard - Higgins, Jones, Huby, Jackson, Clayton, Netherton, even Hudson is looking half the player he was. James, unless he has come on a ton since his Bradford days is another in that class. Ferres, Snitch & Westerman is a good back row but too light. Sargent is quality but is not on long enough to be fully effective.

On the contrary I think Huby's really stepped up to the mark in the last year or so; Hiiggins usually makes an impact; and Jones and Jackson are work horses who contribute gretaly to our defensive effort in the middle of the field.
Hudson doesn't seem to be being given the necessary game time to make a major impact at the moment, which is a concern as he's the captain and should be leading the team. Netherton always speeds up the ruck when he comes on and often takes some of the workload (and focus) from the halfbacks.
I wouldn't class these players as mediocre, more unsung contributors who get on with the job and combine well as a pack. There are weaknesses, and there are strengths, but can't the same be said of all Super League sides? Our main problem, as many have already mentioned is simply lack of depth.

Spot on is that comment, we are a team of mediocre players.

I'm afraid workhorse is a very polite description of someone who gives his all but rarely busts a tackle, makes a break, scores a try or hurts in the tackle. Huby does seem physically like a front rower finally, rather than a pudding, but still lacks the concentration to be a class act. Most mid/lower-table sides have soem unsung heroes, we seem to have a team of them.

Well aren't you full of joy!!
Bonzo i agree with you. Our problem is strength in depth and also a lack of creativity and kicking from the halves/hooker
Imo our pack is the only thing i can't complain about at the moment
I dare say if we didnt have these workhorse type players then we would concede a lot more points than we currently are!

But we have still lost our last 3 games, so the pack aint that good, we will see on Friday night when we play a very good pack at Hull FC.

| To many tries scored by the opposition are down the middle.
Thats were players like higgins/huby/sargant/ all defend...now thats where our problems are.

Despite that, I think our pack has been pretty dominant for a significant portion of those three games, with our downfall coming from an inability to close down a lynchpin oppostion half-back who's subsequently crucified us.

=#0080FFEspecially at Odsal. It seemed like the Bulls just ran straight through the middle unopposed.

| Sargeant does a lot of tackling and seems to be all over the pitch
I really do think that when it comes to us losing games it's from the halves not the forwards. We are creating plenty of chances and getting up the pitch but when it comes to keeping hold of the ball Rangi, Shifty and Hudson let us down with handling errors
In the first half against Hull KR we dropped the ball 4 times in their 20. Both came from Rangi and Shifty with 2 each. They seem to lose confidence when we get a good lead (ie. 10-0 up twice in two games within the first 10/15mins)

I'd be inetersted to know where the majority of tries have come from. Against HKR they got down near our try line due our errors & penalties at key times. This gives the opposition SH the opportunity to crucify us.

| Huby and Sargent are good props, but for me, (jackson is a work horse and higgins tries hard), we need a big strong running prop to break tackles to compliment huby and sarge.
I do think our back row is strong tho, Ferres, Snitch, Jones, Widders.
To be competitive we need an other really good prop (which james isn't imo) and a good scrum half, as sherwin, although a good player, is too often injured.
