Can't see it happening when he will probably get the odd first team game next season and he will be needed in the 20's as well.

He's had a couple of offers to go on loan for a month, to play in the trains cup thingy, but leigh aint one of them.

this years academy is non competative so a chance for him to play against men will help in his development

Madness, utter madness. How many time have our promising youngsters actually come back after a so called loan period and broken into the first team?

Get him in the first team squad full time now FFS!

Don't agree personally, for me its just a little too soon. but then again thats probably why i'm not in TM's shoes.

First team squad with full time training, having to mix it in training with the big guys will do his development more good than turning out for a 3rd division team having to mix it with less professional, less skillfull players.

Again, how many youngsters have we let go "on loan" over the years and just how many have come back better?

Have to agree Tigerpie. Get him mixing it with the big boys. Its not going to aid his development playing against mediocre players. We need to get him working hard full time. The only advantage of Leigh is what he would learn from robbie paul, but I would like to see him staying with us in full time training.

Leigh haven't been relegated, Gateshead had points deducted so they have instead. So it would be 2nd tier rugby.

To be honest getting regular 1st team games is a big advantage to young players look at Owen and Westerman. If we hadn't dropped down a division I'd be suprised if they got anywhere near the number of games they did and they may not have progressed to the level they're at without those games.

Which, is a disgrace. Why should we have to drop a division to bring our youngsters through? I can just see Leeds and Saints using that technique! Oh, hold on a minute-they loan players to us don't they

Let him go out on loan, I cant see why anyone would argue this ???

He isnt going to get a sniff at first team rugby whilever Chase, Goldy and Shifty are fit, So whats the point in him playing against nobodys in the academy, Let him go play in League 1, Would do him the world of good

At some point someone will be injured. Why is our club so afraid to give youngsters a chance



Aside from first team opportunities, he will be better training full time with our first team squad rather than a part time outfit. Why would anyone argue against this?

great player but injury prone now, hope the club makes sherwin take brierley under his wing in training, working closely together to hopefully prepare brierley for 1st team rugby
