About 3000-3500 i'd say. It was a great atmosphere from where I was sat, even though we were losing. Our following always makes me proud to be a Cas fan.

I've heard 3500 bandied around and I think that is about right.

However, just before the game was perhaps the best atmosphere I have experienced at a Cas game, I was stood right in the middle at the back and it was absolutely fantastic.

A great following I thought, but a shame many lost their voices in the second half.

The stand was about half full so thats around 2,500 which is a great effort really.

These play off crowds have been shocking on the whole and our effort tonight was no different.

Soemthing needs to be done in regards to prices for Season ticket holders.

You brought more than what leeds brought when it was just tenner a ticket!! Great support, well done.

At a guess I'd say there were between 2,500 - 2,800 which is a good turnout. I wonder what the attendance would have been had Castleford been the home team.
I have been very disappointed with the crowd figures so far in the play-offs, granted most are experiencing some level of financial hardship, but for teams like HKR, Huddersfield, wakey and ourselves I think the advent of a play off game is still someting that people should be busting a gut to get to. For example a mate of mine came along tonight who hardly ever gets the chance to go to games anymore, having been a season ticket holder several years ago, purely down to his financial situation.
Well played Russ, start saving and cut out a few little extras in life and we might see you more often!

Thought we sold our 2000 quota and then a lot more made the trip and paid on the day?

Thats the info I was given from a mate who works at the club and gives me the away attendances when I ask.

I'm in no position to contradict that figure but I would challenge it's presumption that there was anything like 7000 in the rest of the ground.

Does seem rather unlikely considering we sold 2000 tickets. And i saw plenty paying on the door.

Oh dear not as good as anticipated then, still a good turn out for a Sunday night. It would seem that if it wasnt for the away support in these play offs the home attendances would have been embarassing.

So how many in the east stand Bilko? Must admit Cas shirts get looked at in a peculiar way in thet stand

It looked to be around 2,500 which is probably the second highest away support this season.

Better than wire who are only down the road, better than Hull KR who we thought were going to bring 2 million and better than Leeds who had really cheap tickets and should really fill everywhere they go being the champions.

You made quite a bit of noise but only really kicked in when you scored, but probably the best away fans this season, no trouble from what I have seen and great numbers with a good atmosphere.

Hardly, when you think about it. Leeds' attendances are down for the year (about 7% IIRC) and i mean when you're home attendances are down, dont you expect the away ones to decline too? Also, Leeds' standard of football hasn't been the most thrilling this year (well until late) and people started to get "bored" of watching a great team play in 2nd or 3rd gear.

All away followings for the play off games looked impressive, just the home ones let them down, Saints and Leeds probably because the game meant nothing and was more of a warm up. Wakey hardly had the best tie and wasn't going to be a crowd puller. God knows what went wrong with Wigan.

He only told me the away stand because I always put the figure in my match reports if I remember to ask. Apparently you pre sold 1,400. Anyway I still think 1,800 is a very good turnout.

thought the away support last night was ace, we went flat at half time but the support lifted with a better second half......proud of some of the boys, some were a let down but thats the game, and i just hope the club dont rest on its laurels as we will need to be stronger next season, Bradders. the Cod heads, Wire and Catalan will be lots stronger
