| Was a very tight game with both defences on top.
I much prefer it when teams play dead unlike Cas tonight.

The composure tends to be there when McGoldrick, Hudson & Netherton play (2 of them playing it would have been even closer then what the game sounded).

Looking forward to it, hopefully we'll have a full set of forwards, which we've not seen much of this year. Best of luck at Hudds next week, be a cracker to see Rovers and Cas return to Wembley, it's a long way off yet but we owe you one for that.

| I thought Cas were defensively very good tonight. Justin said we limited their attacking options but so did they to us, hence players making poor decisions late in the set. We had a lot of good field position but Cas covered briliiantly. It will certainly a very tough return encounter but one to look forward to, with the usual terrific Jungle atmosphere.
Good turn out by Cas fans also and very vocal. I too thought they gave away too many silly penalties but at times I don't think the ref knew what he was doing. One or two early mistimed high tackles but nothing dirty or intentional. Good gutsy performance and defensively much better than expected. You should deffo have beaten the black and white sh#ite at Edinburgh, thought you had some bad decisions that day. Good luck next week and would love to see you at Wembley!

Seriously i was very impressed by Cas last night and take my hat off to TM's recruitment and coaching style. On the night there was not a lot between the two sides and the only difference perhaps was Rovers took their chances when they came. Both teams goal line defence was outstanding and in Rangi, Shifty and Westerman you have three top class players in key positions.
I think you're nailed on for the play-offs and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Rangi just keeps getting better, i wasn't so sure about his signing at the start of the season (mainly because nobody had ever heard of him) but now i can't wait to see him progress even further

At first I thought he was going to open us up and cause problems, but his switch passes became easy to read after so long.

Obviously my first comment was very much tongue in cheek, I agree with you, they looked and played like a decent side. The two half backs kept them ticking over and in the second half they looked very good with the ball in hand.
They, like most teams have players missing, and at full strength they won't fear anyone in the league.

| We've got to take a lot out of last night though because of our defence, its been dodgy for a few matches but really stepped up last night. Looking good for next week if we get a few of the lads back

| Sounds like the defence was reasonably good which makes it 2 weeks in a row.
For most of this season I've been less than impressed with our defence and if you look at our points against column you'll understand why!
Hopefully the absolutely shocking defensive performance against 'fax prompted the players and coaching staff to take a long hard look at themselves and take steps to do somert about it!
