| Cheers for the good wishes, as for ref's dont get me started, this year has been the worst yet for poor even biased decisions, i have no faith in any ref atm and linesmen may as well not even turn out, the RFL needs to sort out recruitment of supposed top class refs asap because the crop we have now are far from competent.

| Ganson was utter garbage, first half the majority of his decisions were incredible.
As Bonzo will be here soon (I'd try if I didn't have a gammy knee ), I need to ask - was there a reason why Ganson refused to allow the captain (Goldy) to talk to him in amongst his 'questionable' calls?

Sorry mate, I wasn't at the game due to prior commitments so can't comment. After talking to my Grandad yesterday though it sounded as though Goldy was a bit gobby at times and probably didn't approach Ganson with the correct attitude.

Not saying Goldy was right to, but the captain has the right to get clarification on a decision from a referee so that he can communicate that to his side, if the ref refuses to give an explanation, how is the team meant to cut out what they're being penalised for (if they don't know what that is)?

Was same with Bentham at Murrayfield....
Sending Goldy away when he was approaching him (Can't think it's because they don't like him)
Either that or when Goldy was going up he was asking Bentham to wave like the Queen.

I saw that with Bentham too, it looked like he actually pushed Goldy away. As for saturday, Goldy wasn't the one penalised for lipping the ref and he did look to be pretty calm when he approached Ganson.
Some of the Refs this year have a bit of an attitude if you ask me, they have a duty to listen to the captain, thats why we have them

Marched us back 10 in the 1st half whilst Goldy was questioning him about a decision. Put Fax in kickable position which they took.
Ganson thought that over 5½ thousand speccies had come to watch him. No comunication with his touchies, I actually think that he tells them not to bother as he wants to make all the decisions.
I'm actually thinking of applying for Cummins job as it must be easy doing s*d all. Bentham had a stinker last week but is he demoted no he gets the TV game .

TBH dont think he has the right at all! i think thats a stevo rule! players can tell by signal given by the ref. but ref's seem to be the biggest influence on the game instead of the player!!!

It was my understanding they did. Our resident Championship official Bonzo will clarify I'm sure!

I'll allow a Captain to ask for clarification no problem, but I generally explain my decisions anyway so that they know what they've done wrong. You do get some captains who think they can question everything though, regardless of how clear cut the decision is. If they're taking it too far I tell them to leave it, and if they don't then they get penalised.
As stated though, I'm only speaking for the way I handle those situations - although what I've heard on TV and at live games, that's how a lot of others handle them too.
