I reckon yesterdays game confirmed it, we simply don't have a quality positional kicker that can be relied on to do the business week in week out.

Got to say,could have gone either way. I thought the game itself was quite good.A ref decision was a bit dubious ,but its swings and roundabouts during the season.Don`t want to harp on about refs,but a bad decision against Salford cost us.These things seem to level themselves out,but it is frustrating.
On the plus side Cas seem to have come on in leaps and bounds,good luck for rest of the season.

The kicking game in the 2nd half put all the pressure on us and gave them the field position they scored from. It was the only way they could make yards against us.

As opposed to our wasted kicks when kicking to the same end in the first half--was it 3 or 4 straight into touch

Same for the kicks into the in goal, we kicked so many dead it was untrue. Christ the grass was a foot deep, if we couldn't use it to an advantage and hold up our kicks theres no hope for us

Their kicking game was superb in the second half, and our lack of pace on the wings cost us dearly.

Aside from that, the only other way they got decent field position was through a certain Mr Bentham. We can't really blame our kicks out on the full in the first half for them scoring because they didn't score from them.

We gave up good field position every time we put a poor kick in, and the kicks dead in goal are an utter waste. We hardly put any pressure on their wingers and fullback as a result.

Gutted, because the tries we scored were class, we should have been out of sight at half time, Bentham could then have done his worst
