| For those who traveled to Catalan how did you rate the weekend?
I really enjoyed the two days, stayed in Lloret and couldnt fault the weather on Friday, sat a beach bar all day and got a bit of a tan then watched Hudds n Hull at nite.
The trip from Lloret to Perpignan went really smoothly then when we got there the beer was way too expensive but hey that was to be expected. Then the lads produced the goods on the pitch
I GIVE THE WHOLE TRIP A 9 OUT OF 10
Bring on the Giants

| I flew to Barcelona and drove to Perpignan. Great day saturday even though there were nowhere near as many Cas fans this year.
My dad did a bit better, he didnt fall over and knew we had won on sunday morning. We did our usuall of eating whilst hammered at the Buffalo Grill in Pergpignan Sud.
The game was more of a feature this year and because we were dressed more appropriately we were not as cold as last year!!!!
Sunday was cool, even if we were a bit fatigued - The Nou Camp Stadium, Sagrada Familia, La Ramblas and Tapas!!! Not common treats for your average Super League Fan!!!
Although landing sideways in a gale force wind at Liverpool was no fun at all
I'll give my weekend 9.8 out of ten and as its early I fancy going again, maybe to Dragons v Wire in Barcelona????? All in all, I love the Dragons, nice fans, great place, good club so now we've beaten them I hope they start winning to keep to success down there going.

| Stopping in the Mercure in Perpignan (same team as the hotel – name drop-ping me?) the only slight downside was some drunk knocking on my bedroom door at 2.30 am on Saturday night, before moving up the corridor to knock on another door for10 min going <knock, knock, knock> "Richie, Richie" – before being eventually answered with "F**k off you fat c**t"
Still, Mitch Sergeant "Orreet" to me in the corridor. Becoming a real Yorkshire lad

| Short trip for me, my lad, Binks and his lad. Stayed in Lloret friday until sunday. Had a cracking steak pie in the Robin Hood and then watched the Shuddshull match, met Braytontiger for the first time and even managed to drink some beer, which isn't like me. Catalan transfer to Perpignan was smooth and hassle free and it's not a bad journey. Met some more of the RLfans crew in Perpiganan, who were mostly drunk, even though the beer was crazily priced. Really enjoyed the weekend, the win helped of course, but i would recommend the trip to anyone who hasn't been before. Mark it down as something you really need to do in the next few years.

We travelled there and back on the plane with the team (name dropping? Who?) and it was funny in donny airport when we returned. All the players casually strolled through passport control while TM dashed ahead and frantically dragged about 30 bags off the conveyor all by himself. As the players filtered through, i said to Sarge "WTF is going on here mate? The boss is doing all the work." to which Sarge replied, "feck him, it'll do him good".

| Brilliant time, but a large part of that has to be because of the great win, that really was something else! Thanks once again to our players for a brilliant display!
Perpignan is a very expensive place to eat and drink, luckily the players found the same bar as we did (the one and only decent bar in Perpignan as far as I'm aware), a heavy cost though at €6.50 a pint, but then every bar we found the cost of a pint was expensive at over €5, some were even charging €4 for a half!
The weather was poor, with almost gale force winds and little in the way of sunshine until Sunday, although can't blame that on the locals, but the streets were littered with dog dirt, which can be blamed on the locals.
Thought another negative, was the fact that there were cars bombing up and down every street in the city, even the narrow one's with very little in the way of a footpath. Nowhere were you safe from the numerous bad drivers, there's little wonder almost every car I saw over there had some dint or other in it.

| i would agree with the driving standards over there it was disgusting, but we cannot rate a rugby weekend on driving attitudes lol. We had great weather in Lloret not red hot but pleasantly warm.
i did actually have a pint in perpignan though that cost 5.80 which annoyed me but hey i kinda expected it before we got there
gunna book next year again as soon a fixtures are out

I scarcely recognise Perpignan!
Dog turds is an issue, but no more so than London in my experience. I've never had a problem with the traffic – even in the old town. And the continent overall is expensive at the minute, due to the falling £ – but if you're going to go somewhere where the local drink in 250ml or 330ml measures and insist on pints, then yes – you're going to pay over the odds
On the other hand, it's a nice friendly city, on the Med (so the wind was a bit bitter at the weekend, but that's what we get for drawing them in early March) with plenty of good bars/ cafes and restaurants, at all prices.
Mind, if you're (that's a generic you, not aimed at danny boy1) the sort who goes abroad, finds the first Irish Bar or other English Pub Clone and opts just for that, you're never going to really enjoy the Continent

| There were some really nice areas, but also some areas that seemed to be populated by extremely poor people living in houses that looked as though they were in need of much more than a lick of paint.
I found that most of the people over there very friendly and helpful, the dog dirt was more of a problem in the poorer areas, but even in the city centre it did seem to be an issue. I feel it's very much worse than in England at present, where I think people are finally getting into the habit of clearing their dogs mess up
As far as buying drinks are concerned, it was far more expensive (pro-rata) buying 250, 330cl size drinks than 500cl (or pints).
As always when I'm abroad, I like to explore and take a good look at what a place is about, not just the inside of bars (may as well stay home if that's all I'm going to do), I did try several local bars, but wasn't too impressed with the majority, though maybe I just didn't get in the right one's.
There's a lot to see in the south of France and it's well worth a visit, but fingers crossed we play in summer next year (and take a big wad with you, as it's well expensive).
