Why is it a non-story Vasty ? You've had 3 CCJ's in the last 6 months. If it was Cas Tigers related it would be plastered all over this board and the Wakey board as well.

Why is it nonsense? I don't know enough about CCJ's but questions for you would be :-

- Would you pay an amount you disputed?
- If you didn't could the person who believed you owe them money seek a CCJ against you?
- Could that CCJ be granted purely on the information provided by the claimant?
- Do you have a right to appeal a CCJ?

Finally, if we are "bang to rights" can you please donate GBP 16k of your buy a brick fund to help your nearest and dearest out, afterall you won't need it for GH

Sorry,but thats absolute rubbish.

Firstly,the company(Spirit of 1873 ltd) has already had the opportunity to respond to the claim.
Secondly the court have decided that the money is owed based on the facts and evidence they have received,hence the judgement is issued.
Thirdly,the company still has 30 days to pay the owed monies before the ccj is entered onto the register.

So there is no excuse,the court have resolved it and found in favour of the claimant,so if you are going to use the process to have the matter resolved,the sensible thing would be then to actually pay the debt within the 30 days before its actually registered and becomes a matter of public information.Once its actually registered it was a completely adverse affect in terms of credit rating of the company and all the kncok on problems that creates.

Spirit of 1873s rating was already low,with a new start business and a negative net worth,rated at just 28/100,the day after the first ccj was registered it dropped to 3/100 and after the second ccj 1/100.Yes,you cant get much lower!!!

A professionally run business should avoid at all costs having a ccj registered against them.

Probably, I've seen your accounts - however this is a RL wide issue not just Ca so don't take it personal, there is not a club in the land that isn't technically skint or fairly near to folding.

Not one club has accounts that would stand up as a PLC.

though when the CCJ is paid the credit rating will increase if they make contractual payments.

Though as a company, they are on their bum if their credit rating is 1/100 (just checked this on credit safe)

Back on topic then. I think Cas Tigers need to put this to bed. We should make an official statement on what we intend to do. Do we re-devolop Wheldon Road ? Scrap plans entirely for GH ? Do we intend to use NM or rule that out entirely also ?

Agreed Pyeman. It needs putting to bed by the club ASAP IMO. The uncertainty is causing unrest with some of the fans but I can understand the club wanting to keep its options open.
Maybe they are waiting for a clearer indication on which way the game is heading. i.e. P&R and less emphasis on ground development, a reduction in SL teams and so on.

The latest 'rumoured' plan doing the rounds is that the training pitch and car park is to be sold off for housing to finance some vital ground improvements at WR.

Been doing the rounds for quite a while that one. Cannot see it happening myself. We cannot sell the ground so why try and sell part of it ? Who would want to live on the door step of a RL stadium anyway ?
