The PS offers a good vantage point to all fans in all weathers and wind blowing in rain from one precise direction will occasionally discourage people from standing at the railings or in extreme cases the first couple of rows of terracing. Your East stand offers a worms eye view to most and cover to few.

If you could be bothered you would find that I was critical of RWs interference in the NM planning proceedings and I don't understand how any Wakey fan would not see fault in their officials for:-
(a) leaving this announcement so late especially when fans will have bought tickets with no prescribed access limits
(b) leaving the Cas BOD out of the loop instead of seeking their co-operation as the news would no doubt have been greeted differently by Cas fans if delivered by their own club.

I wonder if AG/JE, aware of people on the Wildcats forum clamouring this week for exclusive use of the North Stand, are overly concerned with earning brownie points from Wakey fans at the expense of presenting a professional image to the wider RL community.

I've just trawled through 8 pages on this forum and a dozen pages on the Wakey site - and one question remains unanswered - where do fans go (of both Wakey and Tigers)who like to watch the game together ? Families, friends, work colleagues and so on.

No one is going to stop family and friends standing together, it's just a general guide to keep the bulk of fans seperate.

I hope you are right on that asumption.

To be fair, the picture they have put on gives a better idea of the allocation than the first one - mainly because the first one looked like they were giving us a very small portion of the stadium to stand in.

FWIW I will be there early to try and get in the North Stand with a good view

I don't think it was necessarily a badly thought idea, but the delivery could have been done a lot better. The first statement seemed to be a case of "you will stand here, you will not stand there and if you choose to stand in the wrong place you will be moved" which of course got people's backs up. If they had put this statement out in the first place then people wouldn't have had any issues and would know that they can infact stand anywhere they wish but are advised that majority of the Wakefield fans will be in the western half of the North Stand and the majority of Cas fans in the East half. All a big misunderstanding now sorted out

The release yesterday said Cas fans were not allowed in the North stand at all, that changed this afternoon after RW went to the press, and pointed out it was illegal.

I'm not saying your wrong but can you point me to a link to shows where Wakey said that Cas fans wern't allowed in the North stand.

Where was this release? The one on the official site hasn't been changed, just clarified. A third of the northern terrace was always allocated to cas fans and it was never stated they weren't allowed to go anywhere.

That clarification makes Dickie's hissy fit a bit embarassing; I expect he'll be issuing a further release soon to retract his daft comments? As opposed to picking the phone up to James Elston, which is of course what he should have done in the first place.

Anyhow, it's all good - the North Stand will be rocking tomorrow night, which was always the intention.
