| Got to say that the best team won comfortably.
I don't think we were overly bad, just bad tackling and a phenomenally good Leeds side proved to be the (significant) difference.
We've clearly got a long way to go if we're to become a decent quality play-off side... at least we're not Bradford though

It's OK talking about games that happened months ago, it's the here and now we've got to play in. What I said was that looking at last week's performance on the box, neither side looked unbeatable and if we keep our discipline and complete our sets we stand a chance of beating both of you.
Seems reasonable to me. Don't take it personally. Maybe we will win, maybe we won't. If we lose to you, it's not like it's the end of the world, is it?
If you don't like honesty, go and have a chat on a party political forum. You can listen to all the lies you want on there.'"

Leeds defence was just too good. That spell right after half time won them the game for me. I know they were already in front at the time but they won the all important physical and mental battles and both they and Cas knew there was only one winner from then on. Best team won can't argue with that. Glad Leeds won there cup final!
There's only one Johnny Walker!!!! Showed great determination and pride with that effort.
Wishing a speedy recovery to Luke Burgess and let's hope he's back playing pretty soon. Just watched the rerun of the tackle and aftermath and there was a bit of blood about. Obviously something messed up in his face so let's hope it's not too bad.

Have a look at his twitter photo on our board. Was a good game, just thought we were too strong for you tbf. Dont remember too much within our own 20 and if we did you chose the wrong last play or spilt the ball.

| Go to the Wakey board for a good laugh that plank SWC has run out of stadium arguments so now he's accusing the fans of cheering Burgess' injury (not the hit ) and thinks the hit was sloppy and Sam will get revenge what a pathetic man he is.
Leeds were by far the best team, you can tell who were the better conditioned and better drilled team pretty much from the off.

That's one for the scrap book for sure.
I think Leeds will be happy with today (apart from LB injury) that they gave Cas a smacked . Lesson learned hopefully for Cas that if we truely want to push for the play offs and consistently beat teams like Leeds then we need more quality players. You can't expect small squads with only a sprinkling of top quality to consistently perform to play off SL standard. We're just not good enough. Having said that, i'm not having a go at our players, it was just one of those days where Leeds were far better.

| All the best to Luke. Hope he's back on the field soon and that he has a full and complete recovery. Feel sorry for him if he misses out on Wembley.
As for our performance, sigh.......too much to diagnose. Might as well just call it a bad day at the office and start again.

Everyone in the ground gave the lad a standing ovation when he went off!!!
The crowd were having banter with Senior to which he responded to whilst smirking. Nothing disgraceful went on there at all. Stick to your armchair and pipedown.

| If people want a few Cas fans banned for chanting while Luke was down, then let's see the same people calling for Senior and Hall banned, as they were toying with the fans at the very same time. There was nothing malicious aimed at Luke Burgess while he was down and only big respect shown when he was stretchered off. Some people need to stop this crusade against Cas fans because we are no different to any set of RL fans.

| Ablett v thompkins, the south stand made plenty of noise with that hit.
Thompkins was down and the cheers went up....so pipe down it's rugby league not netball.
I wish burgess a speedy recovery.

| I posted this on a thread on the Leeds board.
[iWow, this thing really is escalating into something quite ridiculous. Johnny Walker went for a big hit, a fair hit within the laws of the game. The intention was to hit whoever ran the ball out, and hit him hard enough to hopefully get the ball back. The positioning of players from the kick off makes it so that the big guy is the one charging the ball out, to help minimise the risk of losing the ball on this first impact, where both players are charging at each other often full speed.
As the hit went in Luke went down, dropped the ball and Johnny celebrated the big hit. Just like we see many times from players all over the world. He was congratulated by his own players. Meanwhile the Cas fans cheered the hit and then chanted the name of Johnny Walker. Something every other set of fans does when a big hit goes in.
After a few moments it's obvious Luke is unconscious and the game comes to a stop. Players chit chat among themselves, the ref has a little laugh with johnny Walker, while Bluey watches on someone behind him is laughing (can't remember who it was). The Cas fans chant aimed at Senior. Senior rubs his tummy as if he finds it really funny (sarcastically of course) and then the Cas fans sing "if you hate Keith Senior clap your hands" to which Ryan Hall laughs and claps his hands.
The fans at the ground cannot see the blood coming from Lukes mouth. The fans watching on TV can see the blood. Luke is stretchered off and the whole ground applauds him.
The events above are an exact copy of what happens at every rugby league ground. For some strange reason a certain few people want to make so much more out of it and it really is pathetic.[/i

| Leeds had a far superior defence last night. Almost unbreakable. They played right on the edge of being legal and illegal and we could learn a lot from them .
1. Breaking away from the scrum, Leeds did this lightning quick (although a little early IMO)
2. Diskin and McShane were a yard offside at virtually every tackle but didn't get caught. Why? because they were clever with it. If the ref wasn't looking they carried on, if he looked they let the line catch up with them.
3. Senior slowing down the play of the ball with some bizzare greek wrestling technique by laying on top of the grounded player and spinning on his stomach about 180 degrees. Weird but effective.
4. JJB interference at the play of the ball every time he made a tackle. Pretty blatent but got away with it.
Apart from the JJB one which the ref should have seen, the rest were basically well coached and you have to admire it, so why the hell don't we do the same?
One thing for the Leeds fans, does McShane always run like he has messed his pants? Had me in stitches every time he ran.

But he picked up on infringements that the Ref didn't. Thus meaning the ref was at fault.
But those cheers shouldn't be happening, love Leeds or hate Leeds (or any team for that matter) you should have enough respect for the 17 opposing warriors on the pitch not to cheer and enjoy when they get injured.
