please don't get too cockey mate as you still have one hell of a long way to go yet with your build. speaking to people i know in methley there are to be objetions raised from that quarter plus all the existing people that are opposed to the development from stanley and newmarket and i still dont see how your build can be called a community stadium when only wakefield will be playing in it. i think truth be told both developments are at a stage where they could still go one way or the other i hope they both come off but i really dont know which way either of them will go, also just out of intrest if newmarket does fall through will the wildcats still own BV or has it now been sold.

bv was sold over 2 years ago and most of the cash was used to pay off debts leaving them with around 1 mill, unless the taxmans had that.
sheesh and they think were skint

Really??
l live in Methley and have heard nothing re planned objections.......which we did when they wanted build in the field over in Mickletown!
And really don’t see how the plans for Newmarket with have any effect on Methley, it is far enough away to not impact on traffic, noise or have any detrimental impact on house prices.

We are all skint, we (the clubs who don't already have new stadia) are all desperate. The only difference between Cas and Wakey is that we may have been as both supporters and as a club a little more realistic. As such we have not been dragged into the wonderful world of spin created by RW, where endless unobtainable promises have been made and broken. I mean how many start dates have been posted on here in the last three years, all apparently eminating from the great man.
We always knew the only way we could achieve a new stadium was to have as many partners as possible rather than taking this go it alone mentality. Even when Thornes came crashing down we stuck to that belief. It would be a shame to see Cas or any club came crashing down due to one mans ego and pig headed refusal to co-operate rather than promote self interest.
I think many Cas fans can now smell the coffee, and thankfully it's far from too late for them to do something about it.
No being smug from me, we IMHO are both still a long way off considering 2012 is not that far off. The argument as to who is nearer is purely academic, we are both in danger.

OK, BV was sold in principle to Paragon (the developer) as Wakefields investment in the development. However until that goes ahead the ground is not sold and no money has changed hand. Thus there is no money actually available to pay alleged debts.

So basically you have no idea what you are talking about.
The council purchased BV off us in the 1980's. They SOLD it back to us in 2000 at no loss to the taxpayer.
So the stadium is being provided for us is it. So where does that differ from what you are trying to achieve at Glasshoughton? Both are developments in which the clubs become tenants at a stadium owned by someone else. Or are you really stupid enough to suggest Cas are somehow developing it by themselves, give it a rest.
Are Wakefield the only club/business to stagger there IR payments? Clearly the IR are happy with this arrangement or are you really stupid enough to believe they are doing us a favour. "Whip round", grow up.
If trolling means telling it how it is then so be it.

A winding up order, wow.

Do you have to resort to immature alterations to people's user names, or use insults that I haven't heard since I was in the Primary School play ground 20 years ago to enhance all your responses?
Perhaps it would be wise if you disappeared from this forum for a bit, considering talk of our stadium doesn't really concern you. Your contribution is clearly becoming a bore to our regular posters judging by some of the responses above. Such a disappearance can and will, be enforced on anyone who causes such slanging matches to begin, regardless of who they support.
This is the second, and final time that I'll intervene in such a liberal manner.

| Not being funny here chaps but Mr Vastman is right, Just to clear up about how good the council has been to Wakefield Trinity over the years, 1st of all the club sold the ground to the council, once the council realised they where going to have a hefty bill (For safety and floodlights iirc) they sold the ground back to the club for a tidy profit, Mr Vastman may seem like he knows it all but he has been in the loop on this issue and knows a great deal more than you would like to think. RW is the guy to take out your frustrations on, we have had some useless board members and ceo's over the years but none as slimy as your current man, although i just did forget about Mr Pearman who i had managed to forget about for a moment. Good luck this season and lets both hope for good news soon regarding the stadium issues.

| You can't lay the blame entirely at RW's feet. As I undferstand the situation there is a deal in place to sell the jungle land to a building contracter but with the currebt economic climate, the building firm have put the deal on hold therefore Cas now have limited funding for a new ground and MAY have to go to a stadium that is adequate but not ideal for the time being. To me that dosent scream Richard Wright is a slimey crook as you are suggesting, that tells me that he is making the best out of a very difficult job that if we are honest theres nobody else stepping forward to do it.

well thats a surprise supporting your little friend, if he has been in the loop as you put it, i would have expected a more mature approach than calling names and just telling everyone else they know nowt, in fact for someone of such knowledge its a surprise that all he wants to do is troll other teams board and rubbish all opinions but his own
