Ben for me was incredibly inconsistent with high shots - for both teams, but Wakefield maybe got their penalties at better times/positions than us.

That being said, as much as it may have helped Wakefield's cause a couple of times, the scoreline in the end summed up the match.

Wakefield were the best team for 55 minutes
Cas were the best team for 25 minutes

37-16 pretty much Bob on.

In defence of my own team, in the first half every time Cas had the ball someone took a knock, so they were knackered after half an hour defeding pretty much constantly. Wakefield then scored 13 points which for me were the crucial scores

I don't feel any better than i did last night. The coach has to go...if we look man for man with some of the clubs above us we aren't no worse than Salford,London,Widnes or even Wakefield or the Hull clubs.

But lord even the players we bought in this season and who started so well have dropped to the commitment levels of the other squad members who have gone backwards under Millwards coaching.

The squad aren't buying into Millwards methods,and his team selections are eroding any confidence the players have left. We also have to question the sanity of the board who awarded Millward a THREE year deal when his last two high profile jobs (Wigan & North Queensland) had been disasterous.

Tough call for Jack & co over the next couple of weeks. Stick with the coach and watch the fans vote with their feet or sack him,pay him off and give the playing side a chance to recover.

If we had a 13 team league, the mid point would be 7th position, 6 teams above this point and 6 teams below.
With a 14 team league, 7th leaves you with 6 teams above and 7 teams below.
If you are in 8th position then there are 7 teams above and 6 teams below, therefore there are 2 positions that can be described as mid table, 7th and 8th.

How monumentally dim are you. You're not embarrassing yourself the damage is truly done on that one - you are however embarrassing your club and fellow fans.

So -Wakefield are a well drilled side who player for player are marginally better than you and possibly 3-4 other teams. They are backed up by a better Coach than most of those teams and a superior back room set up than most of those teams. Hence we are comfortably mid table and may enter the top 8 on in a few weeks if results favour us. This is a million miles away from Cas at present. Hence we can be optimistic without being smug and thus we have a chance of top 8.

What is so difficult to grasp - even through the cloud of bitter ignorance that obscures your mind it's all fairly obvious.

It's a separate mathematical universe, this thread. And it'll have as much impact on the reality that the rest of us share as the letter to the head coach posted above.

What really amazes me is the fact that the thread is about a letter to Ian Millward and we have loads of post debating what mid table is and about wakey's team.

Lets face it milward will probably still be in charge for the next game, the players dont play for milward they dont buy into his tactics etc. you are also losing fans because of effort and performance something needs changing and fast!!

I know of 2 regular cas fans who didnt buy the gold membership due to milward being in charge and being sick of the crap performances last season.

Rangi needs to concentrate on playing rugby rather than making cheap shots which might get you playing better.

You havent really replaced Danny orr. Jordan Tansey is a full back centre winger not a half back. Jamie Ellis is alright but not a class player you dont win games with only one half back
