Thomkins and Burgess

The thompkins one was intentional by ablett.
The burgess one there was no intention at all.

No. Thomkins was ok. Burgess on the other hand looked in a really bad way, yet the fans behind the sticks were chanting away like Cas had won a last minute try.

The incidents weren't the same. Could you even see that Burgess was moving from behind those sticks? I couldn't from where I was standing, and even some Cas fans have said how the chants were OTT whilst he was laying on the floor.

Wooooahh Wooahhh, When did I say they should stand in silence. The chant for Walker was ok as most Leeds would have done the same, as would a section of most super league team supporters, however what is debatable is the need for the fans behind the sticks to be the nosiest they were all night when an opposition player is laid on the floor, and looks in an incredibly bad way. I didn't even see Burgess move.

I saw him move. More often than not, the medical team take all precautions and bring a stretcher on so that they're "better safe than sorry". I thought he'd just jangled his head a bit when he hit the deck, and was needing to come round a bit. It wasn't until I got home and saw the blood pouring from his mouth (his face and most of his body was obscured from the Cas fans view at this point - but you could see that he was moving) that I realised the injury was so severe. And before you ask, I didn't partake in the chanting. And really, after the hammering we got, when witnessing a hit (even if in your opinion it was bad, I don't care) that seems to really take it's toll on a player (not realising the injury) the crowd is going to go a bit mental.



Now that is debatable. Were you stood with the Cas fans? Did you have equipment to measure the noise? Don't make those claims when you cannot prove them.

I'll retract what I said then to 'one of the noisest'. It is of my opinion that it was the nosiest though. I agree that fans would get excited over it, but it just seems strange that more noise was made when a player was down, as to when a try was scored.

You retract what you just said, but then you say it again. You're saying that we made more sound when a player was down than when we scored our only try? Again, this is unfounded criticism.

You seem to be forgetting the long round of applause in support of Burgess from everyone (and I mean everyone) as he left the field of play, but let's not have any facts getting in the way of your little vendetta shall we? You've said fans of most clubs would cheer for their player after a big hit like that so where's the issue? The necessary respect was demonstrated as it should've been.

It seems we've got as many idiot fans at our club as Leeds have arrogant nob ends among their fans. We're always being talked to as if we're trash, we know naff all about rugby and they are all supreme beings who we should bow down to. It's a shame really when we've just as many knowledgeable fans as their glory bandwagon jumping club has. It's a shame really, because many Cas fans will have a proper chin wag with anyone from any club, even our fierce local rivals, about all things rugby and we're as good a bunch as any. Yet a certain arrogant few from clubs such as Leeds continually want to come on here and tell us how bad a set we are and how we shouldn't cheer our team on. To those, i say go get fecked and give up with your pathetic crusade. To the rest of the decent SL fans, come and chat with us lot any time you want in our away end, home end, at the bar, Tiger town and anywhere else in Cas you want to. We're not as bad as a few keep making us out to be.
