Dear Ian,
I would like to say that for the first time in my life as Castleford Tigers supporter, I watched with disbelief as my team performed for 40 minutes throughout a 1st half with no spirit, no organisation, no desire and above all no passion.
You have managed in your short tenure to instil in experienced quality players a complete total lack of interest in playing rugby league and for that you must be applauded.
We watch from the terracing as players show a total inability to perform the basic tasks involved in the participation of our great game.
In defence, we show no intention to work together in a defensive line, we have no line-speed in attempting to stop the attacking side from getting into their stride and there is a clear lack of communication in our defensive line as players leave ample gaps for opposing players to run through with ease.
We started today’s game with Ollie Holmes, a back rower, at hooker and Clark on the bench. Clark showed he was unfit/unwell when throwing-up on the 20m line after another Wakefield try, so where the hell was Adam Milner? In Clark and Milner we have two of the games finest young hookers but do we use them as a pair? No, that would be too simple.
We have a pack of forwards who should be terrorizing defences throughout the league. In Huby, Walker, Emmitt, Mason, etc we have players who at present show little ability to make that first line-break and provide the off-load that feeds the supporting half back and here I am again describing that element missing from our game. Basic rugby league.
I apologise for “rambling on” as you must be wanting to get back to catching up with Neighbours and watching the NRL and dreaming that maybe, just maybe you will be given another chance to make a complete mess of another club.
To conclude, I write with hope that maybe our Board of Directors see the light find enough pennies to rid us of the poorest rugby league coach to have graced Wheldon Road for many years because I think I am not far wrong that if you are still in your position for much longer the terraces “down the lane” will be very, very quiet and empty.
Regards,
A supporter, season ticket holder and now member for many years.

Wouldn't bother mate, said poster is a plank and not typical of most Cas fans.
We are a very decent side but we really shouldn't be finding it that easy to beat Cas on their own turf. If I were a Cas fan I'd be devastated by that. Ten to fifteen minutes effort simply isn't enough to win any SL game. I was amazed by the first half which was basically a training run, we actually got caught a bit cold because of that in the second half. It's so strange how Cas can't get themselves up for this game yet always look fired up at BV.
I really don't know what else to say.

The team as a whole did not play that bad, Some very dodgy ref decesions cost us dearly.
The first half the polecats pierced our defence at will. The polecats first two tries were in my opinion because of dodgy ref decisions. From where I was stood I could see Rangi having words with the linesman the old guy in the first half.Take nothing away from the polecats they played the game and the Ref in the first half as any team would and they come out very much on top.
The second half with Cas scoring two quick tries I thought could we, but that thought soon went.
All in all a game we needed to win but again come up short, wher is our next win. Hudd's - Widnes ?.

Drivel - aside from the fact that your second sentence contradicts your first, our Ben had absolutely nothing to do with that result last night; I'd suggest you need to look a little closer to home.
And 'polecats' - seriously?

| The bit about having a pack of forwards that should be "terrorizing" the league is delusion at its finest.
It's hard when things aren't going well but as a non-Cas fan I don't think anything that has happened so far is unexpected.

| Ben for me was incredibly inconsistent with high shots - for both teams, but Wakefield maybe got their penalties at better times/positions than us.
That being said, as much as it may have helped Wakefield's cause a couple of times, the scoreline in the end summed up the match.
Wakefield were the best team for 55 minutes
Cas were the best team for 25 minutes
37-16 pretty much Bob on.
In defence of my own team, in the first half every time Cas had the ball someone took a knock, so they were knackered after half an hour defeding pretty much constantly. Wakefield then scored 13 points which for me were the crucial scores

| Don't know how Wakefields performance is being dragged into this...though i thought they looked a well drilled team last night....which we are currently a million miles away from being .
I don't feel any better than i did last night. The coach has to go...if we look man for man with some of the clubs above us we aren't no worse than Salford,London,Widnes or even Wakefield or the Hull clubs.
But lord even the players we bought in this season and who started so well have dropped to the commitment levels of the other squad members who have gone backwards under Millwards coaching.
The squad aren't buying into Millwards methods, and his team selections are eroding any confidence the players have left. We also have to question the sanity of the board who awarded Millward a THREE year deal when his last two high profile jobs (Wigan & North Queensland) had been disasterous.
Tough call for Jack & co over the next couple of weeks. Stick with the coach and watch the fans vote with their feet or sack him,pay him off and give the playing side a chance to recover.
What odds a tricky Challenge cup tie?...i'd guess at a Fax/Fev/Sheffield away tie

Read My and your post I was responding to again.. You were the one who made a comment about the top 8 then saying we weren't even mid table! You therefore were suggesting just being in the top 8 was better than mid table which obviously can't be the case as 7th is mid table and better than 8th

By definition, positions 7 & 8 are mid table. (1-7, 8-14).
Unless you think there is a position at 7.5???

No, and 7 isn't the median of 14 either!
Positions 7 & 8 are equally half way in a 1-14 sequence of integers.
7th would solely be mid table in a 13 team league.

| 7 is half way in a list of numbers 1-13.
7 & 8 are both half way in a list of numbers 1-14.
Write them on a piece of paper and start crossing numbers off, one at a time, at alternating ends of the list. See what happens!
