Guy left the club when he had an opportunity to play first-team rugby at Cas this season. Now he's been farmed out to play at a Championship club at a level below, without disrespect to Batley.

Grass, Greener ? etc.

Thats three Cas lads who thought the grass was of a better quality at the Giants, Eaden the new Billy Slater, it seems in Paul Anderson's eyes ( another Cas lad ) it's billy Elliot, Mat Dawson, he might have been first grade at Cas now, but he is now behind a host of players, and Blackmoore, as others have said he could have been playing at Cas this year, but know he could be in the also rans, their is a few others at the Giants, it looks like their recruitment people have a better speal than we do or is it just more money.

Indeed they do Frank. Greg Eden been the typical example.

all these players were offered deals at other clubs that reflected the time & effort needed to go full time. Cas's attempt to keep these lads was feeble in 2 cases (less money than working at burger king) and non existent in the other !

Eden & blackmore are worth a squad place at most clubs outside the big 4/5 , dawson has had injury probs but nice to see clubs are willing to take a punt on young British players.
