It does make me wonder what as gone on for him to be released and there being no explanation as to why.

If you look at the Grix out thread and the club FB post saying he has left, there are some hints to show why..... and why it has had an impact on the team morale, not withstanding being another squad player down etc. And possibly the reason no one has come out and said in plain words what actually happened.

Not bad, slight question mark over his hands that can be a bit light fingered at times apparently, other than that an all round player that will no doubt get even rounder at the Bulls.

It was just the coaching staff that seemingly doubted his ability. Presuming his misdemeanor didn't happen until after the Saints game given he was selected for that but left the game with a groin injury that could have kept him out a little while, he was very much on the fringes with many fans already questioning what was going on at that point. Talented player but offield baggage that it looks like we overlooked for whatever reason.

What nonsense. they signed him because of his ability, but it seems his behaviour and attitude was the issue and then subsequent gross misdemeanour. Of course they should have known all this up front with their crystal ball. Whereas the Bulls know exactly what he's done but clearly have no standards when it comes to behaviour of that sort, even when he has allegedly caused further issues whilst there.

Remind me of when we sacked Dave Watson and they instantly recruited him.

Hope Doro does as well for us as Watson did.

Doro’s ability was never in question but his attitude was, he felt he belonged in Super League and should be an automatic choice every week regardless of how he showed up in training and off the field.

In his short time at Fax he alone chose to act in the ways he did sadly for himself, his team mates and the club.

If I remember rightly, Doro was on loan to Widnes from Warrington throughout 2022 and he was simply released by Warrington.

Could do without troublesome players no matter how talented they are. Fax signed Stanley Gene with much flag waving as he was an exceptional talent, but I understand he was trouble off the field and didn't last the season.

Again you have to ask questions of the recruitment process a the reason he left Warrington was well documented and the players at Widnes were well aware of some of the stuff going on in his personal life. If you are trying to build a good culture you should be doing all the background checks you can to make sure a player is a good fit so you wonder if its an oversight as in this day and age there really is no excuse for signing a player with a poor attitude to training or just in general unless you are really desparate.

If he had come from a club where we had no contacts I could completely understand, but he came from Warrington, where our coach spent a decade, and Widnes where we have plenty of contacts. IMO questioning the recruitment is fine in this instance.

When he was signed the club and player covered what he was looking for and what they wanted from him both on and off the pitch which included the levels of professionalism required at Fax.

One side gave a player with some potential another opportunity and upheld their side of the agreement and the other side didn’t.

Players don't just become unprofessional overnight, its much more likely we were left scrambling due to the late start (new board of directors) and he was still on the market due to his issues.

Where Doro is concerned Fax speculated and gave a young promising player another opportunity to come onboard and straighten himself out which he failed to take so there's the answer to the recruitment question.

Bradford have done exactly the same thing with the same player for the same reasons with an even worse personnel CV to go on than the one he came here with.

He has certainly delivered on the pitch for the Bulls so far, arguably been our best forward in the last couple of months. Guess time will tell if he can iron out other areas under a better coaching team.
