| Its time for muzza to retire imo harsh but fact . Tyrer I am surprised with because although not his greatest fan certainly last year he was the cement to the team .I fear where exactly we are heading 20 years of drifting . Oh what a team we used to have watching some of the old videos . Reality in 2020 is just plain grim

| Understandable as the club will, along with most others be looking to cut its wage bill next year and these would probably be two of the highest earners. While both have had their critics in my view they have been fantastic servants of the club over a long number of years both consistently playing to a very high standard and with real commitment to the team. It would also be sad if after this level of service they were to leave without the fans having the chance to recognise their contribution.

| Scott has been brilliant for Fax but time moves on. I would have thought he would have stayed with us as a coach. As for Steve I'm surprised he isn't staying for another year.

| Two players who have given their all for the club and they deserve a good send off from the fans. 2020 is a bloody weird year and things we thought would be the norm are definitely not. I would have expected Scott to have been part of the coaching set up next season and Steve to have been going full on for the points record.
In the end though all I want is for the club to be back on the field and have a team, we can build from there.
Thanks guys.

| How come the club haven't made an official announcement about murrel and tyrer?
It doesn't make sense. I thought muzza was already pushing it by playing this season and why would tyrer leave a club he loves so close to the points scoring record?

| Murrell, although a good rugby brain, never made any effort to get his weight down, never nurtured understudies or half backs to work with him.
A very selfish individual.
Tyrer was a one trick pony in his last 3 seasons.
He caught Murrells ball to score or threw a pass into the stands.
Sick of watching garbage for the last 20 years.
When we won the grand final, it never actually mattered.
Like I said before, Fax and Huddersfield need to merge. They'd play out of the Shay at least

| Ask anyone who has tried to balance the books for the last 20 years and the shay is part of the issue . Lack of alternative revenue . What does just about every amateur rugby or football club have that keeps them afloat . Their own bar and the more their members drink or eat the more money they get back. Fax at batley has more legs but only if batley would want to . just try think of hudds without Ken Davey = no club

| Scott Murrell has been a brilliant player for Fax, almost single handedly winning games for us at times. Whilst agreeing that his time as a player is over for us, nobody should forget his massive contribution to our club over the last eight years. Good luck at Keighley to him and who knows, we might not have seen the last of him at The Shay. Up The Fax!

Wow. He has done more for this club on and off the field than possibly any player I can remember in at least the last 2 decades maybe even more.

| As a Fev fan I can say without hesitation that Murrell is the opposing player I've most enjoyed watching in the last 10 years (not so much when he has played against us though). Mentally he's been miles ahead of most players at this level, it's a shame he never had the athleticism to match, though he would have been in the NRL never mind SL if he had. Yes he had his limitations especially in recent years but for many years he was the Fax player who was most likely to make something happen in attack.
Moreover he played the game with a smile on his face and clearly had a great sense of humour. I really hope that when his playing days are over that he's not lost to RL.
