Squadbuilder looked after him after his Widnes contract was terminated. He repays them by playing for Wakefield.

They published a statement on their website thanking the players being released for their services to the Club. He was one of the ones listed.

catch 22 with this one really, he's got to take the opportunity and each time its been a better prospect than Fax but its gone t*ts up on both occasions.

personally, i dont really care if he's stays with us anymore - we're a stop gap for him until the next best thing comes along so i'd rather use what is probably a significant salary elsewhere.

Does that mean he is still our player? And if so do we pay his wage? And if so the club ( who by their own statements say we are on very tight budgets) have a player they’re are paying and playing for another club! That doesn’t make financial sense. May be it’s time we sold Tangata to anyone who wants him.

Fax hold his visa hence the loan deal. Wakefield are obviously paying his wages but it's hard not to feel that, after all Fax and the supporters have done for him, Tangata hasn't used our club for his own ends.

In hindsight he should have gone with Mitch...since then we've wasted time,effort and cost for zero return.

How long has Tangata been here now? 5 years ? Isn’t that enough to be taken of the quota system

All we were was a stepping stone to Tangata. Never wanted to be at Halifax. Shouldn't have signed him from Widnes. Was never daft enough to dig into my pockets for a player who wasn't committed to Fax. Good luck to him but time to move on.

Some of the comments on here are frankly absurd and embarrassing. It’s as if people think Adam never gave us 100% when he was playing in the blue and white. As for bringing him back from Widnes, it didn’t cost us a fee and we needed more depth in our squad. And with the situation he was put in by the Widnes demise, it was right thing to do by a player and a person who always gives his best and I was proud of our club for doing this. I say good luck to him, why should he not aspire to play at the highest level. And I’m guessing as it is a loan deal, if it doesn’t quite work out at Wakefield (which won’t be due to a lack of trying), then we will have first dibs.
