| Heard today that Peter McNamara has tendered his resignation as a director at the club. I do know that he has recently taken on a full time role in his day to day job, as well as running the Ivy House, so he was struggling to give the time needed to the club. Thank you for all your hard work at the club over the last few years!!

| I think I will await an official club statement rather than what inoffski1 has overheard or is that what GFB has overheard?pete I am sure can clarify if it's correct or not
I wouldn't have thought the club would have wanted the news to slip out in this manner ie they could have managed the process.

Maybe it came out this way as the club seemed reluctant to act on his resignation?? Just saying!!

| then why post it GFB ?Presumably he told you with a degree of misplaced confidence . If they didn't accept it. It might just have blown over,..... everyone went for a pint and got on with life. It's what happens at Halifax as you are aware .I will still await the official version from the club or better still from Pete himself . It will be safer than he said you said. Anyway let's hope for a better display tonight. personally I won't accept that Pete has resigned until the club confirm because it isn't a done deal yet from what you write.

Erm I didn't. What has been said is correct though. As for your comments about Pete not knowing what it takes to be a director.....I find it quite laughable. Pete has done more for our club than you will probably ever realise. As has been said elsewhere if it weren't for Pete's hard work there is a very good chance that the club would have gone under in the last couple of seasons.

You getting blamed again GFB!! Maybe what is said after the match in in the dining suite will add some clarity. Maybe then Jayne will accept that Pete has gone!!

| There are any number of personal reasons why Peter may have resigned as a Director. He has a pub to run as well as working full-time as a midwife.
I didn't notice the same discussion when Mark Moore resigned from the board for family reasons.

Wait, when did Mark Moore resign? Do we actually have a full board anymore?

| To me there is an excellent opportunity here to improve the board and bring new skills to the directors table. I would expect that Mark Moore considers who he wants to support him to take some of his heavy workload and take the club forward. There is plenty to be positive about .....a going concern with a managed player squad wage bill that is budgeted for this year. An excellent volunteer base reopening income streams ie the shop, a thriving lottery managed by Richard Watmoore. An ever improving reserve grade providing at relatively low cost players for the future. I think that the club can safely move onwards and upwards and have no trouble attracting Board members. No we don't need particularly a money man .its all about a solid sustainable model rather than boom or bust ...I think financial control of whatever we have or can get is the future key and maximise every income stream we have. I do think the commercial side of the club which Pete has played his part is looking very good particularly with more sponsors still coming onboard like yesterday.

| Massive game this weekend. Beat London and we're just 2 points off the top 4 with a game in hand. Lose it and the top 4 looks a lot more distant.
Things can vary slightly, but the bottom line is that losing 7 game or less gives you 32 points+ at the end of the season, and very likely a top 4 spot. Losing 8 games or more means a max of 30 points and top 4 unlikely. We've lost 3 so far, which means we can only slip up 4 more times. We pretty much need to have 100% success against the teams below us, and find 3 wins from the 7 games we have against the current top 5. Part 1 of this is possible but it's always hard maintaining 100%, but part 2 looks unlikely unless we can find some consistent good form somehow.

| Constant good form needs consistency in team selection. It was no surprise that our good run at the end of last season's regular fixtures came with a team picked from our own players. This weekend's game is the biggest of the season so far. We've had a few days extra rest on London so let's hope that helps bridge the gap of full time and give them a right good stuffing. Up The Fax!

| got to factor in we're on the verge of seeing a team a week heading over to canada - minus ourselves of course :'(
10 home games in a row should see toronto comfortably into the qualifiers whilst the subsequent hangover effect could see some crazy results across the league. We're in a decent position imo. Now we just need to do our talking on the field

| For me I am ready for a new era of directors. I am glad the old guard have gone because frankly anyone who managed to blow 790k of prize money plus normal budget in the 2015/16 season ie close to 1 million needed to realise their failings and Buck up their financial management . Anyone can make wrong decisions ie the shop saga but to sit and watch it fail for 5 years is just plain bonkers. Can you imagine in the real world a landlord keep saying .....of course you can have the shop rent and income free....and we will keep paying the cost of it whilst you don't give us a penny. Fact. The real question is why did MarkMoore have to come in and sort out what they sat and watched for years!!!! Were they asleep at the wheel? How about tweeting what that cost the club in lost revenue ? Here's to a better financial future hopefully and I think the policy of living within our means is correct.
