I have just seen the fev have sign mitch clark on loan from cas and he could be in the team to play us. Surely we should have first pick given we are duel reg partners.

Having watched Mitch Clark last year I wouldn't have particularly jumped for him in preference to what we have. If it's a credible back however from Cas, it's a different proposition because we need to get some pace and learn to score try's again against good teams. Defence is great but if you ain't scoring you won't win.
But we will soon find out.

aren't all of these loans out only for a month.

it might simply be a case of RM wanting to test HIS squad for the first few games, enabling him to see where we are lacking with our full squad out, whilst the players we could possibly bring in on DR get up to speed. (yes i know we have had friendlies but these have been mainly with youth and trialists)

To be fair I wouldnt have Clark or Aston as we either have better or better is available from Cas. I would have had Lo but lets be honest it really does not matter that much who we have on the wing as the ball is so slow coming out that our wingers don't see much of it anyway.

No I agree with that although I think Salty and Heaton do a decent job in that respect if both of them are fit and playing. At a guess I would think we will get a winger and maybe a couple of forwards from Cas this week and Johnston and Murrell will get this game but results will probably dictate how long that lasts because we really can't turn Ellis or Trueman down if one of them is available.

I think most of us "know where we are",we could end up looking like fools if other clubs take more and better options from Cas. than their OFFICIAL DR PARTNER. However I will wait and see what happens on Sunday,a critical game that is a key fixture.

Yes agree fanfaxtic, if RM doesn't know where the bits that need fixing are by now after the 8s and pre season he never will. I am really hope that he learnt from 2015/16 season where by the time he realised we needed the cavalry over the hill the battle was lost.

I will hold my powder though until I see the team sheet.

My only message would be is pick the best team from everyone available to you in order to win , not one that if it doesn't work then you will then bring in the cavalry when points and the money has long gone.

Rugby League has had it's day in this Town. And this is down to the administrators at the top, SKY TV and the local populace generally not taking to the Sport. Those that do enjoy sport in general, you'll find in the pub watching it.

That is the sorry state of affairs. If we did achieve Super League somehow, our fanbase would be similar to Salfords, which will not break the club even.

Ken Davy has tried everything with Huddersfield. They won the LLS a few years back, and still the ground is more than three quarters empty.

Wigan, Leeds, Saints, Warrington. The rest, I don't know how they balance the books

I think its pretty easy to see the teams failings, we are very good in defence but we score less points than anyone else around us. Unfortunately nothing has changed in key positions to see that change this season so unless we can get players in key positions from Cas we had better hope our defence is as good this year. For those moaning about Cas sending players elsewhere its really not like those 3 are the only decent players that Cas will have available just take a look at their squad.

Gary Lo was always going back to Sheffield, when cas signed him the agreement was he couldn’t go to any other championship team but Sheffield. Can’t argue about it and moan as co tractual obligations are being stuck to.

Do these sort of clauses even exist and if so why ? when you sign a player he's yours to do as you wish... #### his previous club.

It was part of him being released from his contract with Sheffield. They hold the cards so can ask for what they wanted.

Loan rules are pretty standard - 28 days minimum for each new loan (or renewed one after the previous one has lapsed), then week-to-week with a 24-hour recall clause after the 28 days are up.

With Green playing at Fax on DR and Clark at Fev, will be interesting to see who is higher up the pecking order at Cas once Clark's initial 28-day loan is over.

Either way, I'd still love Greg Florimo's Boots to tell us which 4 Fax props/available Cas props are better than Clark, but both he and his TotalRL alter ego seem to have left the building, which is genuinely a shame.
