Messrs Steele and Riley have resigned from the board. Thanks for all you’ve done guys and I’m sure we’ll see you at The Shay next season.

Now, what’s going on on the board of directors now then....

A big thank you to both of the Michael's for the massive contribution of time, effort and financial support at BOD level for so many years.

Everything has to come to an end but not them still be Fax fans.

Can we have a very wealthy addition now please?

Unlike some other directors we have have had at various times these two have been totally selfless in their commitment to Fax.

Without the hard work and financial contribution of Michael Steele over a number of years (but financially especially in the last 12 months) we would probably have no club now. Mike Riley has been a long term director who has contributed time, energy and money to ensure the club continues. They deserve every supporters thanks for their efforts and will be greatly missed.

Going forward we need to be financially self-dependent and not expect people to put their hand in their pockets. Whilst the club has a number of experienced staff and volunteers we are now almost totally reliant on Mark Moore in the director capacity to ensure we operate properly. I hope that he can encourage others of quality and experience to join him on the Board as he will need help.

Thanks for all the work over the years. now onto a new future.

It looks like a time for change at Fax, and in reality it is probably needed if we want to move onto the next level. These two men have been real stalwarts at our club and we all owe them a great big thank you for their unstinting support. Let's hope the team can send them out of their official positions at Fax on a high tomorrow. Up The Fax!

Different planet if you think a Rugby League club at this level is going to be financially self-dependant. I do agree with some of what you said though and the board do need some good help, they just have to be careful to avoid debacles like the beginning of this season where it seems people more concerned with their own status want to jump aboard. Luckily the board were wise enough to not let that happen.

Back on topic and Michael Steele has done a brilliant job of looking after this club for such a long time, I have not always agreed with some of the stuff he has said regarding the stadium and what not but the time, effort, and money he has put in to the club has been on another level. It can't be easy been a chairman of a team at this level and we have probably sailed close to the wind more times than we would have liked to but we have managed to survive and put a competitive team on the field as well not to mention the finals which we have seen while he has been at the helm.

Mike Riley another who has put so much time effort and money in to the club and another who was rightly outspoke when people tried to get involved who could have ruined the club. Mike as with so many others holds the club in a very dear place and has put the club first when other people would not have. They will both be missed as part of the board but theres no doubt that both will still be involved at the club in one way or another.

We are in very good hands with the people left in charge and with a couple more additions Im sure the club can once again be steadied and hopefully moved forward in an age where most other clubs seem to be sinking.

Jeez - I though they might wait until after the game.

Just wanted to echo those comments on how these two have supported the club both financially and with their time over the years. Thank you.
Time for a new chapter now and we need to support the club even more during this transitional phase.

Thanks to both gentlemen, their love of the club has shown through in their efforts over the years and they have left the rest of us with a club that maybe without them would no longer exist.

Thanks guys, time to enjoy the rugby without all of the pressure.
