Score Predictions?

Not sure what to say TBH - we seem to be a shadow of the side who confidently brushed Haven aside on the opening day - gonna say - Fax by 6 - maybe 12-18 or 16-22.

Our heads have dropped and if I was a Haven fan whose side need points desperately - I'd sense an opportunity....

We were lucky to get a draw there when we were playing well.Looks like Oldham have put their cue in rack so we'll need to wait another week to get some points.

If the players do not fancy playing Dewsbury at home then I doubt a lot of them fancy a 3 hour trip to Haven. If we managed a win in our current state then the players have done well.

In this day and age, I suppose the players are just tied to a contract and do not receive a "Win Bonus/Winning pay".
Maybe a sponsor or the Supporters Trust could come up with some quick funds to give these lads an incentive to up their game a bit.

Exactly. What happened to playing the game because you love it and wanting to win at all costs? The players do get winning pay but the great thing for the club is that they are saving money by them not going on the field and performing.

I don't think the players are playing to lose its possibly more a case of not being able to get enough motivation to win. As supporters I'm sure we would have given our all to wear the Fax shirt so I guess it's often difficult to understand why the players don't seem to be doing that, but I find difficult to watch these games so I do have some sympathy there.

Anyway I'm going Fax by 8 but won't be surprised if we lose up there, we have done enough times before.

Apparently ,the BIG game in Cumbria this week is St Bees v Kells Darts game, it's even made the back page of the Haven Evening News

nothing about a game of Rugby

I thought Fax had wrapped up till next year,anyway back to the game,I think Dews lost in Cumbria recently so I'm going for a score of Haven 24 v Fax 14 I don't think the crowd will be very big due to the Darts game ,but Fax don't like playing in front of crowds.

No disrespect Jeff, but I would be dead against the Supporters Trust giving our well earned money as an incentive to the players to "up their game"
If I was a sponsor (if I was a rich man, Fidler on the roof" I would not want after supporting the club all these years to put more in so the players could "up their game"
As a few people have already posted pride should be enough for our current players to "up their game"

In fairness when we pumped Leigh in the middle 8s last year, we were giving it the big large. This year hasn't given us that opportunity unfortunately. Gotta take the rough with the smooth. Wembley and Haven on a weekend, bring it on!!

Ian, you're a gent and apology accepted with pleasure. I genuinely hope Leigh can make it through the 8's (hopefully with 2 SL teams in the MPG), and will be a "phantom" Leyther throughout the process. Just be gentle with us, we're all feeling a little fragile in this neck of the woods in West Yorkshire at the moment!
