Pretty fair assessment that.Lot depends on size of squad and how many RM wants to bring in.I wouldn't be against a bigger cull than your 5/7.

Haven't seen enough in Boyle to warrant a new contract.

Good question.out eccleston seen nothing from him.out potts watched him the second team he didn't seem interested.out,greenwood,out Boyle,our r.moore,murrell,bennion big disappointed.a Robinson,c Robinson,Saxton,.that would free a few quid up.

A good assessment I would keep Will, release Conor Robinson and Saltonstall

According to Richard Marshall Ryan had the best game of all the team against Bulls.
Aggression from the second smallest player in our team he said.
Hinting that quite a few fall short in that respect.

Out Murrell?

I'm a big fan of Connor Robinson think he gives us something extra on attack. I'm happy to keep Will Sharp but he needs a top quality centre. Ben Heaton is a squad player at best and Steve Tyrers not been good enough this year, but can't fault his kicking!

Difficult decisions for Richard, but in my humble opinion a cull of only five or seven wouldn't shake things up.
As you say lot depends on the size of the squad and to be honest, and I mean this as no disrespect to any of the players mentioned in being released, hardly big earners.
Tough decisions.
And Scott Grix won't be cheap.

What was the squad size last year? About 23? He was a much better coach of a smaller group of players

In what game for the second team?

Fairbank 50/50? He should be a mainstay of our team.

Potts, Ecclestone, Maneely, Greenwood, Saxton, Smeaton (already gone), A Robinson, C Robinson, G Bennion and R Moore out

Craven, Grady or Worthington, QLT or Scott Grix, Knowles, B Blackmore, Boyle in

So many rumours flying around at the moment.
I would say a good few going with not as many coming.
RM hopefully will have learned a lesson and get 4 or 5 of the "better" players available as opposed to a bigger number of others.
"Better" players in the sense of who's available at this level and who we can afford.

I think Connor Robinson has shown enough to stay

FYI Potts has been out with a broken jaw . that's why he was watching Reserve's on Saturday.

There is also Brandon Moore, I think some of you maybe be mixing him up with Ryan Maneely. I suspect Brandon will be one of our regular hookers next year, still young, has done really well last few games, and will get better with more game time. I think he has put himself above Conor Robinson.

I agree, for such a small player he packs a punch in defence

The game I saw him play in the double header at the shay when the reserves played the same day as the first team against the wolves he didn't look interested,didn't drive the ball in.and when King scored his try he left him for dead.IN

Think Brandon Moore will be the number 1 hooker next season with Ben Kaye/Conor Robinson as back up

Kaye and Moore I think should be enough.lets save money for impact players.we have a tight budget quality not quantity imo.are we that big a club we need 3hookers we don't hook the ball in the scrum anymore.a half back can follow the ruck.why waste money on hookers.strike players win you games.in my opinon.

A ben fisher/ penky style player wins games

Agreed don't need 3 or 4 average hookers.whats the. Point?

Pottsy has been really unlucky with injuries this season, sustained a bad shoulder injury in the middle eights last year and had major surgery, was just getting back to full fitness playing in the reserves and a head clash smashed his cheekbone. Not fair to judge him on the strength of one game in the reserves - he was one of our best wingers last year.
