For all you DR supporters, what is your opinion of it now?

Scrap the reserves and implement it. Reality check.

From a Fev point of view, I still hate it. It's a necessary evil for us this year and probably next year, sadly.

Never have and never will like DR as yet again today two of their better players were DR from Leeds and last week I believe they had 4 DR payers when they beat Batley, no matter what Fev fans might say about sour grapes it CAN and often DOES make a difference especially when you are recruiting from the still current Champions of English RL!!!
I prefer to stick with a Reserve team if we can afford it now we are almost certainly out of the top 4 and middle eights.
Get rid of DR and make ALL SL teams have a Reserve team.

Still doable for both of us. We just both need to win and hope that Swinton do you a favour.

To be honest it aint going to happen Batley will be up for it and Swinton have nothing to play for, I am not sure you are going to make it either as I can see them lot from over the hill turning you over next week under their new coach and new half back player as whilst you deserved to win today you were not great we yet again played some dumb rugby and gave you the ball in our own 20, stupid off us and it cost us big time, it has cost the club around £500k I think ouch!

Best team won on the day. Fev had good game management and better ball control. Dropped points at home against Swinton and away at Whitehaven have ultimately come back to bite us I'm afraid.

Wrong. One win against Batley and we would almost certainly have a top four spot. Does anyone know how many DR players fev had today?

you cant really complain as you used it last season and it helped u get in the middle 8s, as a fev fan i hate it but the other year we tried to get other clubs to not use it and even drafted a document up, but clubs would not stop using it so we used it, as for best players well the best 2 we had this week and last are briggs and Thackery and there not DR

Whether you are for or against DR, the issue is that Fev could make mid 8s with leeds' help (they would have won without them today though), and wil then play Leeds. Farce.

fev dont make the rules and in fact we tried to change them BUT no other team seemed to give a flying shiiite so now we just go with the rules

no fault of fev, you do right to take advantage. But the players who have lost their spots have to come in to potentially play against those they replaced!

end day there all well paid pros so should just get on with it, DR stinks and its just a money saving exercise

If Leeds play Fev in the middle 8's can Leeds take their players back.

Pretty sure they can, but only at the start. A dual reg can't play for both teams in the 8's.

DR has so many talking points surrounding it and it will depend on which angle you look at it from.
IMHO for what it's worth it should not be allowed, but what about loan deals, the same player / players could still be loaned out to the same club and on match day nothing would change!!

However since it is allowed and for example you take the stance of "getting results" is what matters" and the DR players involved will help you "get the result" then you will use it.
Question is "can you be certain using these players will get the result" sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't, I wonder how many DR players have turned out to be poor temporary signings and contributed to losing a a game, quite a few I expect.
Even if it does "get the result" in the short term what long term damage can it do when the players who are left out know how their club feels about their ability and the DR guy goes back home.
From a fans perspective with DR I suspect as with bad refs, we all fall foul of their poor decisions but as long as we win nothing much is said until we lose, many use DR and as long as they win it gets passed over.
In any case DR hasn't been the major factor in how Fax have been this year and won't be what the coaching staff will be going over in this weeks analysis of the game or team talk.

We only used it twice last season and we signed one of the players more or less straight away Connor Robinson so not the same at all, in fact from the middle to the end of the season we did NOT use DR at all.

So will Leeds allow these players to register for Fev during the 8's?

I know that this is not my place really, but I agree with the above.

To add I would say that DR is a sticking plaster which can fall off at any given time, this was recognised by Leigh a fww years back when the Club decided to go it alone & build 'initially' from within.

Even if say you have 2 or 3 rated SL players at your Club on DR, they can be recalled at the worst time & likewise your opponents could pitch up as said above with a couple of DR SL players who become game changers.

The RFL need to look at [iBOTH[/i SL & Championship & make reserve grade mandatory in both divisions, if needs be then they need to help fund this move for the sake of British RL.

Scrap the sticking plaster of DR & do something purposeful would be my message to the RFL, after all they have just posted a profit again I hear, so use it to strengthen the game.

I've said on another thread that having a reserve team has probably proved to be a wrong decision for Fax.

Well, you make complete sense and your proposal looks ridiculously sensible - for the RFL to use central funding to ensure that all clubs have an internal "feeder" (aka a reserve team). This would make the reserve league meaningful and with a full fixture list each season.

Actually they can play for both if they've played enough games (8 I think), less than that one or the other only

They have to declare which team they are playing for come the 8's. Can't play for both
