Great signings, really glad they have agreed another year.

If RM can keep the improvement in these guys and the rest of the squad e are in for a good season despite the bookies odds.

I know Robbo is popular in these parts but for me I think he's lucky to get another year. He needs to get fit to give himself a chance. Obviously our dear leader sees him in his plans so that's good enough for me.

This "bookies odds" thing is a bit ridiculous, the firm that priced the Championship up (Skybet) won't lay anyone with half an idea more than a couple of quid and no serious punter would expect to get on with them, and of course they don't have any shops you can send putters-on round either. When you're not prepared to lose significant money you can afford to come up with the odds in 5 minutes on the back of a cigarette pack.

Yeah I agree, thought Robbo was lucky to get another contract. He's struggled to put a decent string of games together for the last 18 months imo

RM has kept the squad together which shows the great team spirit, I thought Rich would have maybe signed a big name player , but he must be happy with the squad, I have faith in the judgement of RM and think next year will be the season of the Fax.

I also agree that Robbo is probably lucky to get another year. Despite this, he's had lots of injuries over the past couple of seasons. Lets hope he gets a good pre-season in injury free and shows us what he's capable of.

Mr Bates I must say I'm a little disappointed in our recruitment for next year I expected a couple of big name players coming on board ,I do have faith in RM judgement but our star signing Grix has not played for nearly a year and has something to prove ,when I made the bet with Mr Caroli I thought we may have spent a bit more of the central funding cash on players but I stand by my bet ,Leigh obviously will again be up there but so will we.UTFAX.

Well I'm obviously wishing you good luck in your bet and I would also have like to seen a bit more of a splash in the transfers but RM obviously feels he has what he needs. We've signed support for our half backs which we needed and speed on the wing, our forwards were brilliant last year and if they can reproduce that form then I am sure we will have a good season.

Tezzer. RM commented on the option of going out and spending on bigger name players fairly soon after the 8's ended and ruled it out choosing to go down to another path.
This included setting up a reserve side, getting better training equipment and better nutrition.
It will be interesting to see how it pans out over next year.

I am fully supportive of RM policy on spending on potential rather than splashing cash on super league players. I personally think we've spent wisely and strengthened in the areas we needed. Have faith in RM.

I agree about the reserve side Mr Jagger. I think its a waste of money and resources and have said so many times over the last few years. Given most of our squad players are too old to play in that competition and there is a limit on the number of over age players Im not sure what purpose it serves. Until we are in SL realistically we get no say in what young players in the area are doing. Dont get me wrong I do not think this is a Halifax RLFC problem this is a problem on the RFL's part but you cant very well force youngsters to play for their home town team when SL teams like Huddersfield try and snap up all the young talent before we pick them up after they have thrown them on the scrap heap. Even in that situation most are too old for any sort of reserves competition.

Dont worry about the funding though, that is there for a rainy day and like Ive also said many times if this team does not make the 8's again then something has gone very wrong this year.
