As you folk know I don't normally pick a Fax Mom, but for me it was Dane Manning, tackled everything in front of him and ran very hard all afternoon at Leigh, I was very disappointed with the whole Leigh team,for me our Halves were invisible today, but it happens, that's life.

special mention for Ben Heaton as well. He'll let Armstrong out of his pocket at some point

Armstrong? Are you sure he was playing? I thought both him and McNally must have pulled out before the game.

Cant pick 1 player out of that, very tough.

Manning (tackling machine and ran hard every time he had the ball)
Salty (did a load of hard work bringing the ball up, and always hard to put down. How fast did he look for his try!).
Mitch (rarely stands out individually, but the bedrock of our pack and laid the foundations for the rest of the guys today. Great link-up play for Scott's try).

Other than that, not a poor performance from anyone in blue 'n' white.

That happened once in a game against Wigan. Not expected to win, but we did, and the man of the match was announced as the full Halifax team.

Best for me though was when a scratch Fax team went to Wigan and won 17-14 (I think - with a last minute Wigan try), IIRC, the man of the match was announced as Denis Betts - who had only been on the pitch for the last 5 minutes or so of the game!

Salty - runs and runs and runs at players no matter how big and finds the gaps sometimes when we need the hard yards.
Manno - what a Trojan.

Dane Manning (You'd want this guy by your side in the trenches, selfless, body on the line attitude, gets on with it, aggressive and smart tackles, backs up, finishes, makes yards, the complete second row performance)
Steve Tyrer (accomplished with the boot, aggressive defence, potent in attack, exactly what a centre should be)
Johnno (always threatening, whats he gonna do next etc, played through pain, used his head and offers something from nothing)

Any of the other players could have made the list, I could mention good things everyone of them did from 1 to 17, an awesome performance, and brilliantly coached and assisted by the back room gang.

A first class day of RL from everyone connected. Well done Richard Marshall for putting things together.
