Widnes by 24 for me. Think the extra Fitness and the class of Brown etc will see Widnes score a few tries late in the game. Think with Hull KR this is one of our 2 toughest games.

I don't think this will be too far from the truth and to be honest I think I would be happy with that strangely. As look as we compete in this Super 8s - I will be happy.

Think it'll be a really tough one and I expect Widnes to top this league due to KR's cup interest. Chemics by 14 or so but will be happy with a good strong showing from our boys, their pack isn't that bad to be honest. We'll probably come unstuck for giving Craven match time and getting his game fitness up.

Well, it's one of those 'we've nowt to lose scenarios'. we have achieved the aim of top four and the brass that goes with it, so we can go out and play with no pressure on us. Everything is stacked against us but to be positive, we are on a roll, the form team of The Championship, players coming back and a fantastic team spirit. Fax 24v20 Widnes.

IF did win first game, think RFL will change some rule or other very quickly. plus SL clubs in 8,s go into mass panic.

Widnes are a very good team on their own ground but are not as effective away, I'm going for a score of FAx 24 v Widnes 18 ,I think this game will shape our position in the 8's, if we win the game we can do well in the Comp,but if we get beat it could disheartened us and lead to finishing in 7th or 8th place, are we as good as some Fax fans think we are?

Did getting beat (beaten) at London, Sheffield and all our early games dishearten us? 9 games winning streak.

A Widnes win with them having a touch more class than our lads. Will be a blood and thunder game up front where we will give as good as we get. The game will be won in the halves where they just have that little extra class and pace. Looking forward to it and what a win it would be if I am proven to be wrong.

With no disrespect meant to Halifax, if we can't beat the supposed 'weakest' side in this competition, then we don't deserve to be in Super League next season.
I do think that the game on Sunday will be very much like the Challenge Cup game a couple of seasons ago: Both teams trading scores for 60/65 minutes until we pull away. I think Widnes by 16 would flatter us slightly if the game goes how I think it will

Perhaps the perception of Fax as the weakest team is backed up by us Finishing fourth however, apart from Leigh we had the best end of season run of the top four, beating Fev away, London who were well placed then on neutral ground, Sheffield away And Dewsbury away, nine games undefeated.
As I have said if's and buts don't count, every team has them but if Richard had had more time at the beginning of the season we would have finished higher than fourth (in my very humble opinion)
As for not deserving SL if you don't beat us, its a mini league, take Wendy ball playoffs you can lose a game and still get promoted.
I think we will win on Sunday and I honestly don't think we will finish bottom, however just being in the mix is far more than I expected after the last three seasons.
There is no pressure on us, unlike all the other teams except Sheffield.
No disrespect intended towards the Eagles.

Personally I don't see you as the weakest in the league, due to the unbeaten run you've found yourself on. I would go as far as to say Wakefield are the weakest, just for the sheer losing mentality that seems to have surrounded the club over the last 5/6 months.
I'll be honest, your lot surprised me when you finished in the top 4. I'm sure I weren't the only only one who disregarded Halifax at the start of the season in favour of Featherstone or London finishing ahead of you. But the fact that you think you could have finished higher surely bodes well for the next 7 games in terms of confidence and for next season. I wouldn't be surprised to read soon that your lot are following in the footsteps of Sheffield and going full time.
I really hope you're wrong when you predict a Halifax win, as much as I'd love to see you do well, just not at the expense of us. You'll face poorer Super League teams, if you can still call Widnes, KR, Wakey and Salford Super League teams anymore, than Widnes in these 7 games. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few shocks coming from Halifax
