Mathematically correct and it was me just accepting what Eddie, Stevo and co said as last nights derby game ended.

Catalans do have 2 league points and a 75 points scoring difference in their favour though and would have to lose both games with HKR going to Saints and winning the last one.

HKR have played some good attacking rugby when I have seen them on Sky but the defence seems to leak a few points, I still don't see them being troubled too much by the middle 8 although no SL side would like to be their.

Looking at the format that the RFL have set out. This will mean a forth place finish for Fax will be home games against Widnes, Salford & HKR and away games against Wakefield, Leigh, Bradford & Sheffield.

4th would get us SL9 - SL11 & Leigh at home

However the format works out and if we get their, apart form what we do I will be following Leigh closely to see how they go on and hope they can come up with the goods against the SL sides.

Best they can hope for is the million pound game.

It was more to do with showing what's required for a Championship club to mount a serious challenge.

Worst case (and most likely) scenario for the championship clubs is that there'll be at least one of the 4 in the million pound game with the winner moving up to SL next season.

They are the most disrespectful club I've ever seen in 30 years of watching RL. Most of it comes from their dreadful "Director of Rugby" and capped in recent games by having prop forwards take goal kicks. A completely disrespectful broadside at their opposition and in my opinion; totally unprofessional. Be careful who you gouge on the way up for on the way down there'll be plenty of stiff arms and spleen ripping.

I don't log on much, however, I have to echoe the above sentiment with every inch of my being, over the last 2 years they were the team I rooted for most above fax, now..... Everything above!.

I'm pretty sure they will stuff the dulls today. I heard from a very reliable and well informed friend that the dulls will be fielding almost their reserves team today to protect their players ahead of the Middle 8.
I expect that Leigh will go full strength because of their ego!!!

Come on lads , it's not that long ago , you were a ' country mile ' in front of the rest of the Championship mere mortals

Like us you've suffered for a couple of years but the sun is again rising on the Fax horizon , and I doubt you'll find a true Leyther who isnt glad to see it

We are putting out our best today apparently , but not through ' ego ' , just our policy of keeping our momentum and hopefully a winning mentality

The 2 forwards taking kicks have Been Fui and Emmitt in the last couple of minutes at games well won and haven't Been anything more than personal ' in jokes ' between the players

Similarily our DOR Dereck is larger than life and can be loud and defensive when challenged , isn't that what most Championship fans would want of their owners when dealing with ' over enthusiastic ' ex SL personell ?

We hope our season ends successfully , and would love to see Fax emulate that success next season , even quite possibly trying to remove us ( if we are fortunate to achieve this years ambitions )

I hope Leigh do do well. They have shown that the Championship can produce full time teams that challenge SL. Isn't that what we all want, to put SL masters in their place and when the time is right for us take that next step to full time and challenge the top tear as well.

Totally agree, I'd probably say that we had a touch of arrogance a few years ago and this is sometimes what is required to give you that edge over the opposition.

Hopefully Bulls get hammered today with a strong squad out and we win and can kick on next week.

Fax v Leythers, if it happens, should hopefully be a cracker.

And yet you would love to have him at Halifax (or somebody similar) who is prepared to walk the walk and bring players in like Hock, Higham, Fui, Dixon, Pala, Weston & Paterson whilst growing attendances and bringing through hundreds of kids on free ST.

Whilst doing this he has every player in is corner, playing for him & Rolls and making life in training and after games fun, thus attracting other quality players yet to be revealed.

it wasn't that long ago I would look at your team of Penky, Beswick, Royston, Black, Branighan, Barlow ETC and be a little bit green eyed when you would spank us regularly, BUT times change, so you you either get an owner/board that move with the times or you sit back and moan about others success.
