With the game so close with 10 minutes to go no one could have predicted what a change was to come in the last 10 minutes. To be fair we played for the full 80 minutes and Dewsbury seemed to tire. Once again defence good but need some homework on attack. With all the players doing their fair share of tackling it was another difficult decision on the Hitman award sponsored by Halifax RLFC Players Association. In the end Ross Divorty got the vote turning in a good stint coming back after a short lay off.
There was a clear winner in the Shay Lounge Man of the match with James Saltonstall picking up the 3 points. 2nd with 2 points was Luke Ambler and 3rd with 1 point Ben Johnston. Both James and Luke take a early lead in the season long voting with 5 points each. Luke seems to be starting off as he finished last season and James an impressive start to his Fax career. As we will not see Miles Greenwood back for a long time lets hope James can continue to fill the fullback role so competently.
It was good to see Makali Aizue in the Shay Lounge after the game who had a chat with the supporters.
