| Come on get down the Shay on Sunday we need to get behind the lads and create a good atmosphere, this is a huge game for us the prize is big so lets all do our bit. I have been nagging people who have not been coming down and so far have got a couple extra to come, lets all do our best to get people down just tell them!

| Well said Jon. I've not been to a game since we caved in against Leigh at home. I have my reasons & they're not just rugby one's, but I'm enthralled by this fixture & it's implications now that promo & relegation are relevant again.
Just for the record, I think the reward for two SL clubs failing badly on & off the field far out-weigh's the reward for the Championship clubs' successes in the league this season financially. My negative thoughts towards this aspect will never leave me but i think I've definately become more cynical towards most things that i disagree with in life, but RL has been a big part of my life until the recent few years when my interest in the pro game has waned.
I feel no dishonour or shame in the fact that i'm one of the missing pay-at-the-gaters this season, i haven't been impressed with several aspects of what i witnessed earlier this season and for the season prior, but as i see it, that's in the past & i look forward to sunday's game as if it were a cup semi final or final. I just wish it was the final league fixture but that's obviously not the case.
I'm really looking forward to meeting a couple or more Fev chums for pre match beers, some of whom expect to be in the Fax shortly after 11am & i haven't decided yet where i'll watch the game from, being a staunch south-stander but an occassional East-stander & my mates who visit us for the day will be in the superior North stand.
Imagine the atmosphere if it's still not clear who's gonna win late in the 2nd half if both teams are playing towards their own fans. This is the sort of fixture that promotion & relegation were made for, these are the fixtures that us older folks remember from years ago, this is how sport & supporting your team should feel like.
Let's be nice to ginger George for the day & hope the weather isn't as gruesome as it's forecasted to be.
CAN NOT WAIT.

| MM. I totally agree with your point about rewarding failure. That is what happened to Wakefield
They were down until Wales went bust and instead of rewarding success and promoting the top championship club SL kept them in their cosy little club and for all the hype about the "return" of P & R we all know that the chances of Fax, Leigh, Fev or whoever gaining promotion are remote to say the least. Still we have got to try and be the best we can be and let's hope Fax's rise back to the top receives a big boost on Sunday. Up The Fax!

Iv still got the monk on with them my friend so still not coming Sun, cant see us getting close my self I was disgusted by the attitude of some in the defeat to leigh, to hand the shield over after 4 years in the way they did is not for me, don't mind us losing god seen it often enough but I want to see players playing for the shirt and not just the pay packet. The defending at times was school boy stuff, the body language terrible and I can guarantee Selby Warriors 2nd team would of given Leigh more to worry about in the physical stuff. 2 trys given away on our own line from the last tackle, penalties given away at a constant rate, dropped balls and silly little costly mistakes galore, we were utter shiiiite and im not sitting through that again and paying for the privilege. If it was upto me id sack the lot of them and play the Lions players for the rest of the games and get some pride back in that shirt

Every game every season counts for something.
If we want our club to do well we support through thick and thin.
Ask Bentleyman.

It might count for something to you HJ and it might to me, but to hundreds of stayaways out there it doesn't and that's a fact. These are the people we need back and we need them down The Shay today. Up The Fax!

Don't blame the ref, yes I agree he was crap but our left defence looked like it had gone on holiday. See why Fev got rid of Saxton, shown up big time today.

| Can barely remember when we beat a top side! Last one I can remember is hammering Leigh. They didn't show up because they weren't getting paid. We punch well above our weight.

| I have not been since the Leigh game earlier in the season so very much a "stay away".
I did not go to the fev game, as I could see what was coming and I was not wrong.
Seen teams in the pennine league that have a better structure. 5 drives and a kick, not using outside backs....
I don't think I am the only one who would rather watch paint dry this season.
Long gone are is the calland era where if they scored 30, we scored 40... that was money well spent.

| I can understand why people stay away when we play some of the stuff we have been playing, you just keep thinking it will improve in the next game or the next couple of games and even when it does it's not long before we go off the boil again.
In that sense as the season gets near the back end I am still waiting for it to start and play like a team that means it.
Problem with staying away is that the income stream from that key area is well down and we won't have the funding to bring in the better players, without the better players we won't improve the on field standard of play so it's a vicious circle spiralling down.
