George Stokes is one of the finest referees in rugby league. he is a fine man, and never misses a thing. we should think ourselves lucky. the Gods are obviously smiling on the Fax faithful. I think i'll put George in my next novel. look out for the title, "RED GEORGE the CONQUER."

Not being a twitterer or a facebooker I can only go by what I have been told and it appears to me that there are a lot of silly comments out there.

Come on lads, doesn't matter who the ref is it's up to us to do the business.

We just have to ignore Doris Stokes and get on with giving away far less penalties than we do and play some decent rugby. One thing is for sure we won't beat Fev with 5 drives and a kick! They are past masters at building the pressure and that is exactly what we should be doing to them. They got a thraping last Friday and have lost 6 games this season so that invincibility has gone to some extent this season. we havent won at home v Fev since 2009-what a time to put that record straight! Good luck to Fax - it would be great to have bit of luck for once!

It's not that Stokes is anti-Fax or biased in any way. He is just totally incompetent and turns every game into a lottery. It means that the result will hinge on bad decisions and controversial calls instead of skillful Rugby League.

They can't win can they, everybody is right but them.

I think most of 'em know this before they take up the whistle, spend some cash on boots & kit & just for the record, in my experience they are very special people to coin a phrase. They love it.....

I agree they are special people, but I think without the abuse there would be more people willing to give it a go.
In under 10s rugby young refs are getting abuse from the players the coaches and more sadly the parents.
Step forward a couple of Leeds teams and ******** Moor playing from a Town that the ******** Rams play from.

And a team of Lions from a very small village of Rovers.
