Tony Abbott posted on FB yesterday reminding us all to tune into Premier Sports on Wednesday evening at 8pm for the launch of Rugby AM. Do you know, I'm sure I'm doing something else at that time! I asked him if he would be too but got no response.

Well TAcdoes n't seem to be bothered, Aidan Jewitt is a director but how many games does he attend?
So between them they are 40% of our directors but with Reactiv not buying the ground I wonder how long that will last.

This should be out in the open but absolutely zip is being heard from our BOD so how can they expect support.

Tell us what is going on, rumours are bringing this club to its knees.

I just hope TA that you are still in it for the long haul and I hope your business activities work out well because that would be good for you and possibly good for Fax as a result.

If not I can partly understand why and would like to thank you for what you have done for the club up to this point and I wish you the best.

TA is not media shy, but his silence since the end of the Shay sale saga, has been deafening, has been the sounds from the club in general and one can't help but think something is not right.

BTW, the mentioned rugby show on Premier sports is on free view.

Sorry faxcar, other than putting in £100k or so nothing is better with TA at the helm. Crowds have gone down not up, the app is appalling, never up to date and amateur at best, rent problems as well. I don't think he has Halifax RL blood running through his veins and it shows, mike Riley runs around like a headless chicken on match days and personal I can tell it means the earth to him. Likewise Leigh directors, involved, passionate and innovative, it makes the difference to us fans IMO.im not going to start kissing ass just because he has put some money in, the same as I didn't when nano did the same

I am not kissing the guy's either, he is a sponsor, no more no less. He is not Tony Gartland.

When was the last time he publicly said anything about Halifax RLFC.

One thing though, I would not have started this thread had I known that the brain dead s at FC Wendyball had so little in their lives that they would feel the need to pick up on it as well. I did hear that there was some crap tournament about to begin in South America somewhere. Why not concentrate on that?

On the other hand without his gift, (because he isn't going to get it back and neither did he expect to) we could easily have folded as it was given to help pay our way when we had the perfect storm of results when everything went wrong and since then who has been funding the signings of new players that is still on going but without the big statement.

Crowds have gone down for a number of reason none of which are directly linked to him nor is it just affecting Fax, in last weeks RL press there was a full page article asking where since the World Cup had all the crowds gone and no one knew the answer or how to fix it.

Locally it seems the Halifax public as elsewhere have other things to spend there time and money on.

As to having Fax blood running through his body, in a way he is a newby, not locally born and bred but it has to start at some point and not being from the north doesn't exclude someone getting the RL bug.

When someone watches a game not everyone takes to it but when they do it's in the blood alright and the first taste for him was Fax, that usually means it's first taste, first place, this is my club, in this case Fax or nothing.

As a newby who was invited to come to the club how should we treat such a person, what sort of message should be given and has been sent out to any other potential interested person?

TA not too long ago spoke plenty about his plans and invited everyone to come and look and listen, the response.

He was called a liar, he was called a parasite, he and his family were subjected to a number of things that were and still are a total disgrace to the Town of Halifax and you complain about an app.

Before TA is a Fax director he is a person and there is a big difference between kissing ass (which he has never asked people to do) and showing some respect to him as just a person.

With the above in mind hardly surprising he now says nothing and goes about his business in a different way but still gets slagged off.

Talk about blood running through his body, the mans getting his throat slit.

I know I may be offending some and that is not my intention but I say it has I see it and on here lately it's becoming more like a serial slag off forum with little support for Fax RL when they are up against it.

How this has turned into a 'slag off Tony Abbott thread' I do not know! Firstly I hope this show really takes off because its something that rugby league has needed for a while. Boots n all has been rubbish for years and in my opinion is just something people would watch for the highlights instead of the hosts insights. This may bring a fresh approach to helping promote rugby league, we'll have to wait and see.

As for Tony, I have spoke to him on a number of occasions about the club. Each time you could tell how passionate he was about making dramatic improvements at the club. We can't expect him to work miracles and he certainly isn't to blame for our recent downfall on the pitch and attendances dropping.

I think we should all get behind him as he has put a lot of work into our club and a lot of his well earned cash.

If people are concerned with the silence, email the club asking for a statement from either Tony or any of the clubs directors on his situation at the club.

If not, keep a lid on it and support everything he's doing/done for us because without him we would be struggling. What a real shame it would be if the fans drove away a director!!

couple of points on this.TA doing rugby am was on shaymen.net long before it was mentioned on here.
the BDW at fcht as you call them should actually be congratulated.Their vigilence probably saved both clubs
from seeking a new home.

My comment was not aimed at all FCHT supporters, just the majority of those on Shaymen.net who continue to make nasty comments about Halifax RLFC on a regular basis.

When they were pushing for promotion they got messages of support from 99% of Fax fans and a good number went to the playoff games ( I admit that I was in the other 1% as I can never forgive the bile that has come from them, plus I can't stand football which bores me to death).
