| Pants aren't they?
Still. Super League needs a London club. What's the betting on a rule change at the end of the season?

| Back in 2005 I attended an u 18s match at Whitehaven against Leigh which was the curtainraiser to Haven v Cas , on the same day Leigh were at Hull in SL, mr Wood and Mr Hetherington were at the game , at half time Mr Hetherington remarked to me that Leigh were an embarrasment to SL as no doubt his wife ( then CEO at Hull ) had rang him with the half time score, which was similar to the one at Leeds last night, I wonder if he was suggesting the same to Kath at HT last night?

| Hetherington is a canker on the sport.
He doesn't realise him and his cronies have created the situations we've seen at London, crusaders, Bradford.

It reminds me of a little tale Stephen Pearson used to tell, just before we came out of Super League he was over at the Seasons Launch photo op` when Etherington asked him how he thought Halifax would do in the coming season . Stephen replied that "he thought they had a decent team but would probably only be about half way in the league." Etheringtons reply was " You lot won`t win a match all season "
He was wrong we won one in London but they took the two points off us leaving us with nil points for the season ,so I think the guy is a clairvoyant.

Theres another word beginning with c and ending in t that a lot of people think he is.
London have got quite a few promising youngsters but they aren't ready for SL, maybe a drop down and chance to build properly will be better in the long term.

One of my favourite moments was when we won the cup in 2010 , we were lucky to have a box at the match but unfortunatly ( or fortunatly as it turned out ) it was the one next to Featherstone Directors inc Etherington. They were "cock a hoop " most of the match laughing and making remarks about Fax play and players and the laughter increased as Fev` racked a few points up and we looked as if we hadn`t a hope .
Then came the fire and our team came back onto the pitch a very differant team to the one that had trudged off into the dressing room pre fire. As we started racking up the points the laughter and jokes all stopped and was replaced by stunned silence then major annoyance and at the final whistle there was not a single one in their seats or in the box . Very sore losers that day ,I`m all for supporting your team but not denegrating your opposition (unless it`s Bradford of course)
I was only talking to Frank about that match last week and I asked him what was said in the dressing room during the fire break that made them turn it about . He said they all said " lets go back out and just stuff `em we`ve nothing to lose lets go for it". I`m so glad they did .

There was a funny moment at the final hooter of that game. I was sat with a good friend of mine who is related to Sam Barlow & he'd picked out his family group in the front section of seats behind the goals. He jumped into the crowd, jumping around & hugging anyone in the close vicinity while we all erupted into celebration, stood on my toes too the clumsy oaf ( LOL ), when he attempted to get back with his team-mates to celebrate on the pitch before they collected their rewards from the dignitries the stewards refused to let him back on the pitch, i presume they thought he was just one of us speccies !

| I must admit I am a little perplexed. When I read the initial comments I assumed that London had lost by far more.
Are we saying that any club that lose by that margin are "pants"
If so we have very short memories, I can remember quite a few games where we have lost by that margin and I never thought of us as a "pants" club.
The score margin was the same as Bradford v Huddersfield last week which provoked no such comment.
I will watch all future results very carefully and see how many "pants" there are.
Aren't Arsenal "pants" losing today 6 nil, what a "pants" club" Not to mention Forest or Cardiff, "pants" the lot of them.
Get rid of them.

I have to agree with you John I have never thought as Halifax as a "pants " club however to me the team and the Club can be looked on in differant ways .Where I may never think the Club is pants I think sometimes in the past the team has certainly played pants .

| I think there are a couple of issues here, there were a few youngsters out there last night, most of them on loan, though a couple of young Londoners who went quite well.
Leeds looked like they took their foot off the pedal and also had about half a dozen usual starters missing, and they also bombed 3 or 4 absolute sitters.
Yes, we have also been pants at times, and we would probably say that is what we were when last in in SL but we've never received the pretty much unconditional support of the hierarchy.
Would we have faired better against Leeds, we'll I would certainly hope so but we'll have to wait until we Widnes and see if we get drawn against them.

I'd give them a break alright.....in championship 1 and that would be being kind to them.

| If london survive as a club we will be playing them next season. "Simples"
What is more interesting to me is which other club will join them in relegation. Bulls must easily top the betting, but do you guys think any others are seriously in danger from what you have seen (if you watch SL that is)? I think Hull KR could well be in a fight if Bulls get some players/cash.

Salford's form was gash until last weekend's win over Cas but they flopped again last night. It would be funny to see Koucash & his moneybags get relegated.
I hope Wakey can stay up this time but i believe they should have got relegated previously.

| I would guess at Wakefield. As MM says they should have gone a couple of years ago. I just think TheRFL/SL is so corrupt that if the bulls came in the bottom two something would be done to change the rules and keep this great iconic club in SL. :O
