This weeks RL press says they will be screened very likely on Monday or Tuesday nights with the RFL prefering Monday.
Premier Sports spokesperson said they should know tonight internally what they will be doing.
Super League games being shown on Thursday for this comong season has prompted the move.
Personally Mondays would be fine by me has I could never make Thursdays which seemed to be a no mans land night to play.

Yep it would seem so. Big Irish sulk. They lost the rights for 2015 so the are taking their bat and ball home (well ball anyway) cue everyone to cancel contract.
I would cancel mine, but I bought it through groupon 20 months ago and its still going now. Might as well keep watching the NRL games..... |

I think the Aussie games generally seem to be more entertaining than the SL rubbish we endure on sky so i'm keeping my premier subscription going for the meantime.

I cancelled my Sky sports just don't enjoy S/L anymore but will still keep Premier for the NRL. Just a shame they aren't showing the Championship for this Season,.

Shame for the fans, but probably the Clubs are not too upset! Least clubs are not being forced to play top games on a Thursday Evening or face along trip to Cumbria/Yorkshire!

Totally agree. The clubs never got any revenue from being on Premier (as far I'm aware) so I'm sure the clubs will be happy about this. |

Does this not reduce the ability to sell sponsorship, by not having tv exposure? |

What were the viewing figures? I doubt that an appearance on PremierTV would excite sponsors although I appreciate any amount of spin can be used when selling it.

' Spin ' is only ever temporary rich, once the figures come in it becomes obvious they're naked, unfortunatly administration all too often looks at the easy option of getting a couple of sponsors rather than life long supporters that takes some hard work and initiative
A couple of decent sponsors has never brought in a few hundred extra supporters, but the more fans you have, generally the easier it is to attract better and bigger sponsors |
