Apologies in advance if I've missed an update on this subject on the Forum, but does anyone know what the current situation is with the Swinton Lions?

Do they have a ground to play at, do they have a team, will they be fulfilling their first fixture at the Shay?

The last I heard, before Christmas, was that they were having difficulties regarding ground and staff.

Their website only deals with the 2013 season.

Sure i read they have signed Mick Nanyn,so we will
see him play at shay soon.

Think that the Dr is still trying to take over Swinton and is interested in building a new stadium there and still wants to get them into super league. But would he be allowed to own 2 teams in the same league though?

I done believe it would be ethical for one man to own/run two clubs. koukash has come into RL with all guns blazing and making a big splash with his money. Ill give it 3 seasons and he will be gone.

It would all be in his wife's name apparently, she'd be the chairman and shareholder. So not an issue, apparently

One has to ask, what does he see in Salford and Swinton that no one else does?

Will the RFL dare to ask? or risk upsetting him?
After all he wants a bigger say in how the sport is run, doesn't he?

up or control people with the money. eg the Dr or Sky. They are scared
