Byron has never been a dirty player and plays it straight and hard but the shove from Sam got him to bite.
There was no cantact only because Barlow is a good bit taller but there was intent.
Sends out the wrong message.

i take it rowe got same as he missed with haymaker. intent there but missed after running in.

Having watched the video Im not sure there was much in it to be honest.

Rowe was never up in front of committee

but should have been for running in and launching haymaker. the system is so unfair to every other transgression.

if ref had sent off smith and given rowe ten minutes nobody could have argued over his decision as it would have followed the rules.

No you are wrong. Rowe did not get cited so was clearly deemed to have not transgressed the rules. Smith was given no case to answer, so according to the rules he did nothing wromg.
What you are talking about is if the referee had done what you wanted, you would not have argued because it was what you wanted!

Fair enough but having seen some of our lads after this match there must have been a hell of a lot of high shots as several had cuts and bruises on their faces, it was a tough game but some stuff went unpunished which was missed by the officials, hey ho.

Couldn't agree more but isn't that always the same? However it was not only those from Halifax that were marked was it? It was the same for both sides, as usual.

thats why was wrong, the whole incident was put on report yet rowe did nothing? and smith clearly attempted head butt which if had connected would get a ban.
so if a player takes a swing/attempts head butt and not connects with either but other player pushes him, he gets penalty against him for pushing.

decapitation of murrell, bracek fracture eye socket plus plenty of others bleeding from nose. obviously all tackled round legs.

Murrell not decapitated, stop being dramatic. And there were plenty of high tackles on Batley players! It happens in games to both teams, stop being so precious and move on.
