The numbers are the numbers at the end of the day -no matter what spin you put on it. Having just watched Inside Out's independant financial expert state, on national tv, that 11 0f the 14 clubs owe more than £68m and are facing the financial abyss, which Nigel Wood and his colleagues totally refuse to acknowledge, how can that be sustainable? Even more importantly, if the top brass act like Nero and fiddle whilst Rome burns, then this great game is dead in the water-just a matter of time.

A growing stable of sponsors? Maybe more in terms of numbers who do sponsor the game in some way I don't know on that one but one thing which smacks me in the face is a lack of a sponsor for the Championship and Super Dooper League!!!
That is the most public part of RL as it gets mentioned every week during the season on TV, on the internet, in the papers and on the radio yet it aint got a sponsor, how embarrassing Fat Controller ye man of Finance

The hand wringing on the VT and twitter is astounding. The glasses these people wear are not only tinted with, but are made of and smell like proper roses.

Three months ago a flagship club revealed itself to be £1.5m in debt, ripped it's fans off to the tune of £500k and started from scratch with a token licence in it's back pocket.

Nothing to see here.

You get sick of hearing it from them.

I will just support and watch the Fax and the Championship clubs as long as they are playing.

He is probably correct, the only difference being is that they have major sponsorship and a way of getting out of the mire. I can't see much of a positive end for rugby league at the present time, sadly.
